Hi everyone,
I've just registered here after being pointed this by a friend. You guys and girls came quite highly recommended so i'm looking forward to looking around the site and, hopefully, making a worthwhile contribution without making too much of a fool of myself.
As for my background in photography, well there's not too much to say there really. I got my first dslr in March of this year and i'd still class myself as being very much an amateur. But an enthusiastic one willing to learn.
I decided from pretty much day 1 that i was going to learn how to do this photography thing properly, meaning not using the "preset" camera modes and taking full control of everything exposure related (ISO/shutter speed/Aperture/Metering) as much as possible.
It's a steep learning curve, which i'm still climbing, but it's been an enjoyable journey so far.
