Anorexic look...

Hi guys,

I want to create some really effective anorexic images for my art project to pick up more marks for photoshop.

Can anyone help me i have photoshop elements at home, or CS3 at school i could use. I want to create a really realistic look with the ribs sticking out too.

Its only for my project work, thats all!!

Take a normal shot of a normal person and use the liquid tool in Photoshop to slim them down maybe a way to achieve this..... short of going to the hospital and getting someone with the condition to agree to being photographed. Tough subject that I would have taking on ;)
 
My mate did something similar at Uni. He used his g/f at the time and got her to suck her stomach right in and stick her ribs out. Worked quite well.

So get a girl that's fairly thin to begin with and get her to breathe in and suck in her stomach as far as she can. This should prevent, or at least reduce the amount of photoshop work required. Also use fairly harsh directional lighting to emphasise the ribs and stomach.
 
i have used the liquify tool but im only a beginner so i cant get all the effects of the ribs etc, can you explain how i can get a more real look. Im just working on the back oh her. Because im basically doing an anorexic girl looking in the mirror, then on the other side its how she sees herself, and i want to create my own image before drawing it to max my marks :)

can anyone help?
 
As above. If you don't want to use the liquify tool, get someone thin to suck their stomach in. It should still have an effect from behind.
 
I can't offer photoshop-specific advice, but for that sort of look I'd consider going black and white and maybe an unusual setting (something white and clinical perhaps?). Just some thoughts.
