Annoying problem with camera

Just a quick one, I have an Agfa folder that shoots 120 film in 6x6 format. The test HP5 roll went perfectly, all exposed fine and in focus etc so i was happy with the camera. Now here comes the problem, i loaded her up with Provia 400, shot my shots and when it came to unloading the film i wound it on plenty and opened the back. I removed the roll and to my horror it looks like the film isn't wound onto the spool as tightly as the test roll was and i can clearly see the top of the film/backing paper in layers, peeping out from the spool. Now obviously the shots are likely to be ruined, it was unloaded in subdued light but has been exposed none the less. The thing is, is it the film, the camera or me at fault? I'm thinking it's either me for not loading it right, me for winding it on too far and releasing any tension keeping it tight or the camera for not spooling it as tightly. Surely all the film should be similar thickness because they all have to fit into the spool to avoid getting ruined o_O what do we think?
I really didn't fancy running the other 6 rolls through whilst on holiday, fortunately i had a couple of spare cameras

Both fortunately and unfortunately the agfa is my only medium format camera, so those 6 rolls need shooting in something so another purchase might need to be had

Every time this has happend to me its becuase I've not loaded the film correctly so the tab isn't tight enough on the spool the problem is magnified each time the spool is rotated. You'll probably only lose a little from the edges of the frames but its best to tape it up with some electrical tape just the same.

Unfortunately for you, it's user error ;) We've all borked our fair share of rolls that way!

i thought as much :gag::lol: looks like i'll have to be more careful. Do we have any tips to avoid it, pull more of the tab through and make sure it goes really tight?

Not that I can offer, I mess one up every now and again and I'm never sure why. What I did early on with the RB67 early on was run drills and just practice loading it with some used backing paper.
