Annie Leibovitz honoured

Looked on the first page and couldn't see anything so half of me is apologetic if it's been posted before- the other half of me says...

Anyway, I see Annie has been honoured by the Museum of Contemporary Arts.

Like many photographers she has her share of detractors as well as admirers. The way I see it is there is a lot one can learn from her in general and I don't begrudge her this in the slightest.

She has some truly iconic images which will be long remembered after her death.

Not a massive fan of her work, but she is a rare talent that changed celeb photography.

Indeed, she won't be getting any honours for managing her finances

I like her work though, some iconic images. I think the Lennon and Ono is probably the most memorable due to his death a few hours later.

could not have told you who shot them but they are only famous because of the subjects.

have any other person in those shots and she'd not be "famous" They are certainly not any better than what I've seen online from "unknown" photographers.

In her case I seem to remember that a lot if the time she didn't even do that, she had minions to carry out such menial tasks...
