Pumpkin's very low key, adding spookiness.

Active ... good colour and detail.

Great strong colours in your “active” re-shoot, and I like your liquid photo. Great lighting.

Hi Anita

Spooky - A little too dark for me, I would have liked to see the highlights brought out (maybe 2 candles ;) ). Nicely on theme though.
Active Re-shoot - Hmm, this is going to sound super picky, but I would have loved to have seen a face. Great bright image.
Liquid - Excellent shot. Loving the sharply defined bubbles in the ice cube. Just enough white & black points (y)

Long time since my last visit to your thread lots of great pictures
I really like the monkeys especially the 3rd one.
and I like the vibrant yolk in your cracked shot.
I like the liquid and Alien and Spooky too.

Struggling to see this one Anita (as in dark and minimal detail), I'd love to see some highlights on the edges or something, Theme wise bang on of course, and a suitably nice black background, good composition too so all in all (y)

Agreed, its almost too low key. A hint of light on one side would make a big difference I think.

Know I have a bit of catching up to do but still here hanging on by the skin of my teeth (whatever that means!)
DK I know my original ACTIVE shot didnt have a great deal of action in it but can I still have a tick in the box pretty please.

Is the bench BIG? Or is he small? Maybe a bit of both?

Great choices for both of them Anita - where did you take those. I like the bench particularly ... a high octane action shot obviously ha ha.

Hi Anita,

Took me a few seconds of thinking the bench was an ironic 'Active' shot before I read which theme it was. I think it would have worked for the theme, it certainly fits well for Big too. Lighting looks even, no irritating hot spots or anything and nicely composed. You've even colour matched the clothing to the bench ;)

Pair is an interesting piece of topiary. I quite like the placement of the building behind, you've also caught a pair of chimneys.

Liking the Action shot, great bench.

Doh ... and then I thought the big house was Big but it is of course Pair ... OK if you're into topiary. ;)

Nice catch up Anita,
Nicely posed and taken with the wooden tops ( :D )
And of course who could argue with your cultural choice?
( someone with no culture I suppose :D )

Love Pose very clever

Great idea for Culture Anita now why didn't I think of it I brought myself some new vinyl the weekend too!

Hi Anita. Super composition and PP work for Pose and I do like the abstract for News. Led Zeppllin on vinyl ... now you're talking Culture.

You never grow to old for a swing.

Great image for Young Anita lovely PoV

... or is it that you're never too old to be a swinger ... I get easily confused. (Is there a queue of kids off-camera waiting a turn?). Nice take Anita.

Hi Anita,
Pose - Cool use of the Joby. Is it a composite, as there is no obvious platform that they are all standing on.
News - This is the best newspaper shot I've seen this week I believe.
Cultural - IV :) Misty Mountain Hop is an excellent track. Nice to see a bit in vinyl out and about.
Young - Fun shot, I would have tried to blur the background as the bright colours pull the eye.

Hi. Thanks for your comments. POSE- not a composite, they are all standing on black card. And not a Joby, just a cheap Aldi special [emoji6]
Will have a go at blurring out background in YOUNG.
THANKS AGAIN

Pose, News and Cultural are all very nice pics. They fot the theme well and are well lit and executed.
The record is the pick of them for me tho, nice job.

Some great theme ideas, all very nicely done. (y)

News is my fave, yet I'm not sure if it would benefit from a less shallow dof. I'm too young to know Led Zep, ahem ... the Four Sticks track is cultural, best ever drummer with two sticks in each hand.

Great catch up Anita! The two that are standing out in my opinion are news and young.

Arranged - Well Anita, you could have arranged the pencils a bit better.
Now repeat after me...
"Richard Of York Gained Battle In Vain" ;) :exit:
Very sharp image that - Nicely done.

Male / Female - Not sure what to say on this one really, nothing wrong with the shot, but Andy moved the bar.

Fabulous shot for Male/Female Anita - excellent DoF and detail ... especially to the thread in that nut.

Merry Christmas to you too Anita. Someone enjoys the occasion ... shades my string of LED porch lights :)

Very festive Anita. Merry Christmas to you too.
These types of shot can be quite hard to pull off well, so god job getting it done without blowing highlights or totally losing the background to shadows.

Wow - that's quite a display! As Tim said - very well handled, too.

Just spotted your male and female too - I do like the dof on it very much - really makes a simple subject very engaging. Nicely arranged too. (y)
