Hi Anita.
That's a lovely shot, crisply sharp across the whole frame, well composed with the church framed by the trees.
The processing makes the most of what appears to be flat light under grey skys.

Hi. Nice subject , well placed in the frame. Trees on the right have a pleasing shape and give added interest. Like the use of brown toning too - I feel it adds rather than detracts
 
Just a hyper criticism, it looks as though the horizon is leaning a couple of mm to the right ( as you look at it)

Its great image and the processing works well too. Nice start Anita :thumbs:
 
Lots of "old to interpret in the photo. Like the sepia effect as well
 
Hi Anita, welcome back l would take some off the bottom maybe and it looks slightly over sharpened though that could be the harsh sunlight,

A nice shot for the theme

It's an English Heritage/National Trust site called Wall, near Lichfield. Open all year round and free though I think you pay if you want to go into museum. It's the site of old (obviously) Roman baths
 
Morning and welcome back. Crit first, I'm not too keen on the processing, I rather like to see a black and white. A better composition IMO would have been from further forward and right slightly as well because the foreground doesn't really interest me.

Anyway, good first post.

i like the contrasting shapes of the curved trees and straight lines of the church. I also like the layered effect of the horizontal lines in the foreground.
 
Loving the rusty colours Anita - also liking the interpretation and composition - almost like a city skyline of screws, nuts and bolts (y)

One slight observation (and I don't know if its a shadow, the edge of the timber base / table or whatever it is) but there is a "slant"running down right from left which detracts slightly but not enough to stop any enjoyment of the image :)
 
Rusty metal, I like that a lot!

Hi Anita. I like the several contrasts in play - screws & bolts, heights, degree of decay but most of all the variance in colour of the rust. Nicely done :clap:
 
Lovely textures and rusty colours.

I'd like the BG to be evenly light and all the screws on focus, but nice start.

I like the shallow DOF selective focus and the detail of the rust on the nuts and bolts is very good. As others have said, it reminds me of a city skyline.
 
Old....I like the shot, and the "layers" in the foreground, but not so much the colour tone.

Metal...Liking that a lot....especially the rust and it's colours.

Liking the variety of nuts, bolts and screws, the rear bolt is a oof, but all well lit with good detail, and a nice background too :)

Because the bars are lost in his fur it does look a little uncomfortable but good idea nicely executed
