That's wonderful. Has everyone else who's agreed with me also blinkered in your eyes, perhaps you think people who don't share your views are blinkered? You've based your view on me, with regards to my views on what, not wanting to see the country I belong over run with Islam. Gee...gosh. Wow.

How is your dog Muslim? Does pray at mosques? I have to ask :)

My favourite colour is blue.

Being blinkered is different from agreeing or disagreeing. You are blinkered because you see no other possibility than the one you've made up in your head, and refuse to acknowledge other possibilities.

What you have failed to understand, is that the last thing I would want, as a proud Brit, is for the situation we find ourselves in with regards to extremists to get any worse, and Of course I definitely wouldnt want to be forcefully converted. What I and others on here have tried to explain to you, is that this could never happen. So much that we wouldnt allow to happen would have to happen to make that a possibility.

Ironically, you 'liked' an earlier post that outlined how much MI5 had been doing to stop terrorist actions from being carried out on our soil. One of the things that would have to happen before your fears are realised, is that these people stop doing what they are doing for us. That is not going to happen.

The dog is fine thanks. No, she doesnt go to Mosques.

...and you still havent answered my question re: qualities that make you a man of the world. Im guessing that its because you are bigoted against people with tattoos that go to metal concerts.

My integrity.

MI5 is great. My worry is more the slow, almost imperceivable shift in our culture and actions to "bend over backwards" to accommodate a "foreign" and still "minority group" at the expense of our own.

I've got nothing against Islam, the religion or it's people. A point I've made countless times but has been ignored as it doesn't suit the PC agenda to paint my views as above as racist/discriminatory.

I'm glad your dog is well. Whilst I do not like dogs, I do not wish them harm. I'm just reluctant to go to a house where there is one. I wouldn't dream of going to someone's home and complain about their dog in their home. Yet that's what I see too many of the Muslim community do here, and I don't like it, and I don't have to.

Integrity? Apologies, please expand.

I've posted lots of links and facts but because they don't fit with your liberal vision you've dismissed them.

Don't say you haven't been warned

Steve, a lot of the 'facts' you've posted have been sensationalist posts from the daily mail, who are there to sell newspapers. Such as your link about Muslims spitting of coffins in royal Wooten basset. It never happened.

But you've said if they don't want to fit into the British way of life they should leave this country. Never mind about their cultures, beliefs. No one is bending over as you put it, but the British people generally are very generous, accepting (and know how to queue). Unfortunately, we also know how to litter, be seriously drunk over the weekend.

However I'm of the opinion that all people, no matter where they are from have something to offer. Other cultures often do things better, or differ et, or even change or affect your views.

Last year I sat with novice monks in Thailand, passing the time of day, chatting about the different ways of life, the cultures, the food. Amazing experience. And makes you question things.

So no Steve, we're not bending over, but prepared if you're prepared to listen to others rather than your own voice, it's amazing what you might learn.

Don't worry about it @ST4 I imagine the bullies like that super overweight in s stained vest top sitting on their lonely kitchen table eating from a tin of baked beans. Imagine gluttony scene from Seven. I bet he has really a Canon :p

Gents, that is starting to overstep the line of reasonable discussion.

What you've listed is actually waft What I like about diversity. Indeed I value it and like all things in moderation is a good thing.

But immigration into the UK have been in moderation and like it or not we are, IMHO, seeing the ugly side of a culture imported that is quite incompatible with ours, rearing it's ugly head.

Like I said, ethnic diversity is a good thing, not bad. But when that diversity vociferously proclaims contempt for us, and extreme factions of that diversity start to adversely affect life in Britain as we know it, action needs taking.

I've posted links, and they did happen (prove it's lies, papers vs r just make it up) and IMHO if we remain tolerant but just less yielding we'd be a less apologetic excuse for a country.

like you I enjoy foreign cuisine, and have plenty friends from overseas who have links to their old country but who have embraced Britain and don't complain about Britain (other than the weather). The issue I have, and you fine well know, is those groups that complain about our ways and expect us to change ours, for them.

Every culture has an ugly side. For me, and since this is a photo site.

Quite often you'll find the foreigners produce quite telling images of our British way of life and cultures, even going back to Bill Brandt

How about a bit of Martin Parr? A clever reference to white trash?

Then there's others... John Gay, Nick Danziger, shirley baker, many many photographers showing the ugly side of British life. It's not restricted to one religion or culture

I never said ours were perfect. Life aboard the trains down to Leeds from Glasgow with chanting louts leaves little to be desired but hey, my inner snob should have gone first class. My fault.

Edit fail too.
Apologies, but you've been quick enough to question the errors of others.

I know. I don't mind the error of the post being pointed out, if you can't follow it due to a mistake on my part I see no ill in you asking me to correct it. I've done, and will do the same if a typo leads me to guessing the intent.

Good effort on the train Steve. Is it one with wifi?

Nope. 3G if I'm lucky...but once you're above 80mph the hand over from mast to mast or whatever becomes tricky. Basically above 80mph your phone will struggle to hold signal.

Leaving Manchester now. A change at Carlisle then here. Just over an hour left, but it's. £17 each way. A bargain

Trainline.co.uk use the best fare finder between popular/major cities and you can get about cheap.

It's made me think twice about when I get a car just how I'll use it.
Always nice when the journey goes smoothly. However when in the middle of winter the connection in Carlisle is late, you wait for three hours on a platform and then you get a standing place only right next to that guy with a beer breath and bad body odor. Fairly soon the comfort of a car is so appealing. A nice E63 will be lovely for a journey like that.

It's gone smoothly 4/6 times. Minor delays.

The problem isn't the device, it's quieter and more comfortable than most cars, it's the passangers that get a bit rowdy. I like the Pendo, it tilts and does 125mph a lot. It's the hard on for disqualified driver transport. Interior lightings too harsh and stark in the first transpeninne trains, the rides crap (particularly on the 185 class). If we gave less foreign aid we could have Pendilino trains everywhere and that would just make life better. Class 185 makes you wish you drive, Pendo makes you think theres worse things than a spell off the road.

I've been thinking my needs, wants of a car over. Luxury and comfort, particularly seat comfort. Volvo or merc s class for me :). A fast car isn't a good idea for me, although I love them, but the temptation isn't good for me.

And we're back on track...

So in what way would reducing our foreign aid feed back into the privatised rail system? Whilst the track is owned by by Network rail Ltd (and since 1 September 2014, Network Rail was reclassified as a central government body, adding around £34 billion to public sector net debt), the train companies who own and run the rolling stock are all private apart from East Coast trains, currently awaiting the franchise to be re granted.

My brother used to have a Kawasaki Z1100. He got rid of it when he realised that if he didn't, he would soon be dead.

Steve.

Steve.

I did the same once with a CB1000, went back to a 500, but as you get older and wiser and realise you don't want to get hurt, you take less risks. I now have a zzr1200 :D

Bomb proof. Jihadist proof...lol
Get a south african model with some built-in flame throwers. Don't think it is legal yet in the UK, so watch out.

Here you go @dejongj . Thought id make it easy for you, as you arent willing to look. Ive tried getting an answer via PM with no success, so apologies to everyone else for bringing the thread down again.

Was the above aimed at me? Simple question.

Hold on a minute tiger...In response to your pm, I asked you to just ask me the question, instead you point me to take a look at post 1116 or whatever the number was. You did not ask me any questions what so ever despite me asking you to just ask the question instead of giving me numbers of a post. Heck it didn't even include a thread it was related to. And now you are taking it public, distorting what happen via PM and accusing me of something...You really are are something aren't you...

The above was an explanation of how I deal with bullies. On a similar note when I have to do a public speaking assignment I imagine the audience naked. It is a coping mechanism. It was a kind and personal insight on how to deal with a difficult situation. So if you are considering yourself a bully, if you are picking on an individual, if you are calling them names, if you are distorting the truth of what really happened and try and get others onboard to see it that way, then yes you could also imagine that my coping mechanism is exactly building up that picture that I described above. It is your choice based upon your self assessment whether that was directed at you.

The last sentence; "I bet he has really a Canon :P" that was 100% directed toward you with tongue firmly in cheek as per the emoticon.

See all you had to do was ask the question...

Great, so it was aimed at me. Wasnt so hard was it.
Well just one sentence was aimed at you, as I've just stated. ROFLMAO Well if you just ask the question then you'll get an answer....you danced around the hand bag and didn't ask the question, thus I couldn't possibly answer...Not that hard of a concept to understand, yet you still seem to be in denial about it, or at least that is how it comes across to me...
