Theres none so blind as those that read /watch rubbish and think is must be true because its in a newspaper/television screen

Sadder though, are those who believe them.

Newspapers cannot print complete lies.

Express....right wing rag...Jeez. Dismiss the story with truths, not those who write it.

The fact that the express has an agenda is a fact ...

The express group is wholly owned by Richard Desmond, who recently pledged to donate £300k to ukip in the run up to this years election -

The daily hiel...

Its a pretty melodramatic exaggeration....I suspect your definition of right wing is new labour...

well known nick name -deriving from the fact that Lord Rothmere - the then chairman and principal share holder , and father (or possibly granfather) of viscount rothmere current chairman and main shareholder is said to have been a good freind of hitler and mussolini and in the 1930s caused the Mail to run articles such as "hurrah for the blackshirts".

The main difference from the express is where as the Express group supports UKIP, the mail group is a staunch supporter of the conservative party.

My definition of right wing is the same as anyone elses - Tory party and Ukip (and Britain first, BNP etc)

Tory isn't right wing. BNP/Britain 1st yes, UKIP not really either.

The actions of the owners nearly a century ago have little bearing on the facts they post today.

174k illegals "lost"

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...ses-174-000-illegal-immigrants-Scathing-dossi

Of these economic migrants, how many do we need to fill jobs that British born jobseekers/out of work people can do. Until every person who can work, is working in Britain, there are no needs for economic migrants. IMHO.
Is this the same Daily Mail with the shock headline "Government doesn't know how many illegal immigrants are in the country".

If anyone needs the stupidity of that explaining then I'm not sure I can help. Although it was reported as a fact by a high selling newspaper, that's something that makes me ashamed of this country.

You should be aware that a sizeable proportion of people overstaying their visas who 'disappear' have gone home. Just let this sink in: we do not track them leaving the country, there is no 'leaving gateway'. People go home without telling us and they are 'missing'. Which is probably well covered in the above article because if it's in the papers it'll be balanced and true.

In the same way that you're tall (to me) but short to my stepson.
From where I'm sat ... New labour = too far to the right for me.

You really are proof of the old saying:

Don't argue **********
Because they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.:D

Tory isn't right wing.
.

:ROFLMAO:

Once agin you've descended into posting absolute drivel - The very term right or left wing means that your policies are right or left of centre , so those that believe in free market, deregulation, privatisation, a hard stance on imigration and so forth are right wing, while those that believe in state ownership, command economies, a soft stance on imigration , state regulation etc are left wing.

So in the UK political landscape on the right you have Conservatives and Ukip (with BNP, Nazis , and BF as the extremists), and on the Left Labour and the Greens (with Soicialist workers and communists as the extremists)

Liberals are odd because they are supposedly centerists, or since the merger with the SDP slightly left of centre , however those in charge in the Coalition are clearly right of centre (either that or they are being pushed about by the tories)

As its impossible to have a sensible debate with someone who clearly doesnt understand anything about the topic at hand , I'm done with this pointless thread

You should be aware that a sizeable proportion of people overstaying their visas who 'disappear' have gone home. .

Indeed and a large chunk of the rest have been trafficked and are probably working in prostitution etc (having been lied to back in belarus or wherever by the gangs that 'imported' them)

British born people can qualify as doctors as nurses

Surely though if you went to the doctor you'd simply want them to be the best doctor available, and if they were/weren't British born wouldn't even cross your mind?

New labour right wing. Comedy gold...
Let's see:
Repeal any of the nasty employment laws the Tories put in place?
Carried on with the privatisation of publicly owned assets
Allowed the free market to f*** up the economy, then bailed them out with taxpayers money without putting regulation in place

Looks right wing to me.

But of course if I was to the right of Genghis Khan then the BNP would be wussy liberals. Like I said, perception.

Phil, let it go, no point discussing things with certain people.

i really think this thread title should be somebodys signature.....
I was actually going to use it in the Threads Are Talking, but the 'member' concerned is ignored, so it wouldn't really work.

There can only be one best doctor available. I think it's enough that they are competent.

Steve.

LOL. Who do you think regulates the press?
Sometimes, when they get found out for printing / publishing lies, they apologise - usually after court action.
Much, much, much more common though, isn't printing lies but printing stuff that twists facts, intertwined with opinion to create a 'story' that has nothing to do with reality.
Or creating 'stories' to discredit, but even then most of the 'lies' are apologised for and only a tiny percentage get to court.

Newspapers were designed for wiping your @rse with and they're not particularly good at that neither:cool:

Here is an interesting piece discrediting a quite famous article form the Daily Mai. Clearly demonstrates the lies, myths and misinformation that the toilet wipe of a paper peddles to the more gullible among us.

What did people think of the Muslim shouting 'your son and daughter will be Muslim' outside the mosque?

He has a right to an opinion.

I must have missed that , so i'm not sure what incident you are talking about

but in general terms he has a right to free expression - I don't agree with him, but he has a right to hold and express that opinion

Although some might like to point out to him that shouting anything outside a place of worship is disrespectful "f***s sake dude, people are praying in there " ;)

“We’re going to take over the UK with Sharia,” Choudary’s followers taunt them. “Your son will be Muslim! Your daughter will be Muslim!”

What is to be made of that?

no more or less then I think of the guy standing on the high street shouting 'Repent, the end is nigh'

We're not suffering a spate of attacks in the west or abroad from lone people on street corners saying 'repent the end is nigh' though. It's coming from Islamic fundamentalists that this show was mostly about.

Nothing.

nothing, as i say they have a right to hold their opinion - I think its b*****ks but they still have a right to hold it. (and lets face it they are just making themselves look silly - muslims in total are only 5% of the uk population, and choudry's followers are a tiny proportion of them. I have more chance of being ellected the next pope than they do of taking over the Uk with sharia

Those guys were goading the EDL (or whatever they call themselves these days) lot that had turned up to goad them.

I don't think the security services would have the same blasé attitude given the current climate.

The security services probably love it - by jumping up and down with silly taunts they draw attention to themselves , like that silly pillock the FBI just busted trying to buy a gun , he brought himself to their attention by posting online about supporting ISIS.

The ones we (and the security services) should worry about are the ones who arent saying anything publically , but a quietly preparinbg to take action hoping to stay under the authorities radar until its too late
