Angi's 365 - updated 2/08 with 10 new images

some great and interesting shots there.

Leaftailed gecko has the most amazing eye

ring binder is really interesting abstract angle too

The bubble bath one is good too, although I thought it was some chemical spill until I read your text :)

I discovered two lots of frog spawn today, one in each of our garden ponds.
Strangely enough my partner bought me some new ASian frogs and they produced froig spawn today too. So I just felt that I had to take a photo of frog spawn to mark this day. I have a better shot, but like this one as it shows the other micro life in the pond too.

My new frogs off my fiance arrived yesterday, the wrong species ws sent but Im quite happy with what arrived. These are commonly known as Bird ****** frogs or warty frogs and arent seen in collections very often. They play dead if you touch them. not many people are successful keeping them apparently, so fingers crossedthese survive. I wont be bothering them to take photographs very often as I dont want to take risks.

The first anemones opened up in my garden today and I just couldn't resist taking a few shots. This was F2.4, then texture plus brushes added for a more arty feel.

none taken so I have used one from today, which fits my rules. I almost got arrested for taking this shot of Cabot circus in Bristol today, I was getting told that I was not allowed to taken any photographs but just continued to take a few more, lol. Can you believe they hassled me because of my tripod and not the guy that was taking photos without one for a couple of minutes when I started! GRRRRR, I feel a rant coming on.....

I have been going stir crazy being stuck in the house with chronic ME/Fybromyalgia lately, it was such a gorgeous day that I though to hell with it, Im going out and I dont care how ill I feel! Luckily I can get two buses directly to our local zoo, so off I went.
I thought these two characters were really sweet. They were swinging around on braches whilst the pelicans were getting fed fish and one of them noticed a fish uneaten in the shallow water, so climbed down to get it, then ate it after playingaround with it looking rather confused for a few minutes.
Now Im regretting going out, Im racked with pain, oh well I had a few enjoyable hours.

Sorry to hear you in so much pain, but some great shots there. I feel your anger about the Cabot circus shot. I get a sense that this is the standard drill now in many public places, shame we have some really silly laws in this country

Another one from my visit to the zoo yesterday as Im racked with pain and exhaustion today, not a good day at all.

Still feeling rotten today, the extent of any exercise today was no more than a slow stroll around the garden. to think I used to cycle every day and climb mountains on my days off!!! Hard to believe now.
This is an HDR of some flowers my daughter chose for me.

Love the flowers, I really must try some flower shots, but for some reason I find it hard getting it right. Sorry to hear you are still in such pain.

just thread through most of the thread, some lovely pictures and looking forward to the rest:)

Thank you shrub monkey and fletch.

Had a tooth extracted today, not a pleasant event and I was shaking so much afterwards that I could barely walk, lmao! so I just had to photograph the culprit, the tooth snapped off in bits so here are the roots

Ouch, you poor thing. That looks as if it was really sore. I had a wisdom tooth out a while ago so I can sympathise!

like the bit of flesh left in between the roots:gag:

Its actually hard as if it is bone:eek:, and I have a piece of bone now sticking out the side of my gum, so looks like I will need to return.
Thanks Liss, cant go too far wrong with a shot of the ickle frogs

Today my daughter and I spent most of the day photographing creatures from our Reptile shop to be used on our shop windows. This is one of my favourites - taken outside upon white card, no editing required although I did sharpen it slightly.

Ah but I have new frogs coming soon, so I just must photograph those;)

I was at my partners parents yesterday and his dad keeps bees, so I spent some time capturing then leaving and entering one of the hives. I must get them uploaded and post one. Not sure what to capture today yet.

Tarantula is fantastic, love the simple white background, should think that picture/poster will look great in shop window.

Have just seen this thread and you have some great shots in there the Frog shots really stand out for me fantasitc colours

Thanks Toothie.

March 22nd
Spent the afternoon at my future in laws and had a lovely roast dinner. the future father in law keeps bees and I popped out to see them for a few minutes. One day I will catch a shot of John in his full kit with the bees and hives.

I seem to have spent 2/3ds of the last 24 hours in bed, serves me right for thinking I could spend a day as a normal human being on Saturday! Ah well, I had a play with my camera for 5 minutes trying out low lighting on my daughter.

I know I said I wouldnt but Ive not been well and struggle to get out so heres another of one of my frogs. I will try to capture something different tomorrow. Its a cutie so Im sure I will be forgiven

I loved Dave Kiddles Oil and water image from his 365 this week that it prompted me to have a play too. This is my attempt , not as good as Daves though (see his 365).

I dunno, I like yours more actually :D Very subtle colours - love it! I think you've got the lighting spot on too.

(I think I might be addicted to these at the moment!)

And the frog shot is super too. I'm jealous that you have such a lovely interesting and colourful subject on hand to shoot whenever you like.

I want a go at these oil and water shots as well (anyone up for a themed day at the weekend?) but how do you do it (or what is the set up?)

Thanks for the help?
I just placed a few drops of oil in a glass full of water, which had various coloured paper etc underneath and shone a desklamp on it.

I've been thinking about doing something similar but with a different mixer. How about petrol and water?? Should make for some weird colours...

Frog shot is amazing as usual. Great work.

Thanks guys. Sorry I fell a bit behind so Im catching up today.

March 27th was actually taken on the 28th, I know Ive got some taken on the 27th, but I need to look through them still, plus my rules say within 24 hours due to my ME.
This is of my daughter again, Im not very good at portraits and wanted to try a low light shot, using window light, I quite like this one of her. I thought I would add extra interest with texture layers.

March 28th
I gave my frogs some new plants to climb around on within their viv, plus black card placed behind them and shone a desk lamp on them from various angles.
Ive been spring cleaning on SAturday as I have energy, woo hoo.:D

March 29th
The energy continues today, but Im pacing myself, I will continue the spring clean tomorrow. Went shopping in Ikea today for various little household things and photography props which may make an appearance in my images this week.
The photo is of a Preying mantis that I took out into the garden, I had tried to capture it eating a cricket but none of the photos worked out that well.

Appologies for my absence, the ME is seriously affecting my energy levels this week.
March 30 - well taken 3 hours late(YES, 3am!), Im sure you can excuse me for that. I couldnt sleep so got up and took some photographs for an hour or so.
Surfing on a strawberry, a crested gecko. The idea came to me whilst preparing for a reptile workshop on Saturday, I have 18 people coming along, and want to be prepared with lots of ideas for them, now I have a page full.

A young green tree python that my partner brought home for me to photograph, they change colour as they grow. Another of the photographic opportunities I will be offering the photography group who will be visiting on Saturday.
