weekly Andy0306 52 attempt - Vertical, Loud and reshoot, added.

The bubble came out of the bottle all on it's own. White vinegar and baking soda works quite well ;)

On your advice, I've cloned the spots out :)

Better with the background clean up - a very pretty bubble.

Hi ya

what a cracking bubble....really sharp , well lit & nice to see a non black bg (y) the only niggle for me ( & I apologise for the OCD) is the writing on the bottle....with the bottle being central I'd like to have the writing central to.....sorry :coat:

Thanks for all the comments and feedback. Apologies if I don't return many comments, I'm very new to this hobby and don't know enough to post critique.

Don't worry about not knowing enough...simply say what you like about a shot & what you don't :) I felt that way when I started but think I've learnt stuff by commenting on others & asking questions about their set up etc

I feel a bit like that Andy being new to the hobby ... it does feel a bit awkward commenting.
Anyway, that's a really excellent bubble well done. I shall remember that handy hint about the vinegar and baking soda :)

I'll make an effort to visit a few threads and comment :)

Hi, bubble works well. Nice and sharp. Bet it could stand a close crop, should you be inclined.

Smoke, not a bad attempt. Tad OOF but it's not easy to get right.

Trust me, commenting really improves your photography as well as helping those you comment on.

Cheers.

liking the beer bottle bubble - bit bright on the LHS on the lable. The fact you have one biig bubble, with lots of little ones helps.

 for having a go at smoke, plenty of people didn;t even manage to produce one even that good! (me included).

Excellent effort for smoke - almost as bad as my efforts  We'll just move swiftly on shall we.

Hi again another out of focus smoke pic, it is hard to achieve but you have to take lots of pics and throw away most of them
I have used off camera flash but I believe Andy(posiview) uses a lamp

I really like that beer bottle ... sharp, colourful, don't care about backgrounds (but better cleaned up I suppose), nice to see the writing isn't deliberately centralised (IMO things like that add to the image), lord knows how you got that big bubble there. (y)

Agree with comments above, it is oof, but, it does have interest. Agree with mercurius, it does have a ghostly feel to it (y)

I'll also echo, well done for having a go

Welcome to the struggle-a-thon! It's a toughie. I agree with the OOF comments but it's a hard thing to get the focus on. I think, though, that Smoke by its nature isn't actually focus-on-able unless loads of trickery is used. Good attempt.

Nice start to your 52 challenge so far Andy - nicely captured bubble for todays image although I think it would have jumped out more with a solid dark background and maybe some lighting reflecting on the bottle.. apart from that though I like it
