weekly Andy0306 52 attempt - Vertical, Loud and reshoot, added.

Jenga, nice idea and the photograph is nice and sharp.

Personally, I'd like it fully built apart from the upper red brick.

Cheers.

Good idea for play. Having the few sticking out or in a pile gives it a feel of it being played. Maybe a bit close to the background as there's some shadows showing up towards the top of the stack.

I actually made a diy soft box, but haven't got any decent lights yet. Tried to use my phones LED light as a quick fix, but no joy. Hopefully things will improve throughout the year :)

Andy and Peter covered it all in the first two posts - too close to the BG is what stood out about it for me.... but that should be an easy fix - and the rest of its all good

Nice, sharp, fun, on theme. :)

good idea, I think would have benfited from softer lighting...the bottom of the stack is a little harshly lit compared to the top.
if you use something like LightRoom you could ad a graduated filter coming up from the bottom, with it set to reduce the exposure a little - then also bring down the blacks and shadows a little might help the background

Love the colours and the placement of the blocks just not liking the background. Makes it seem too staged. I think it would look better on a table or on the floor.
Definitely on theme though so thumbs up from me :)

Hi Andy

not heard of Jenga ( I have lead a very sheltered life ! ) but like what I see ,all crits been mentioned but I like the sharpness & composition :-)

Looks a very sharp image to me Andy (y) Possibly a little CC rotation

Aspect ratio is weird. At 2:38:1 is closer to widescreen cinema. That combined with the composition makes it difficult for the eye to decide where to look. I just find myself looking dead centre as I am conflicted whether I should be looking at the left or right eye of the subject.

Thanks for the comments, have to admit I'm struggling with the close theme. I may post an alternative/replacement before the end of the week.

Definitely on theme.

I find myself wondering what the rest of the cat looks like.

Like this :)

Well seen, almost minimalist image. Was the cat asleep at the time?

He was dropping off, tried to get him with one eye open but he wouldn't play ball.

I appreciate everyone's comment, I should've waited for a better idea to come along.

As Posiview said, nice and sharp but I'd also prefer the eyes open. But then the eyes wouldn't be closed although the closeness fits the theme.

Like your bubble Andy, certainly looks sharp and in focus (y) Was it placed or were you lucky and it came up from the bottle?

Not too keen on the background though, there's three marks just to the right of the bottle could have done with cloning out :)
