Well I have decided to move away from iPhone and go android.

I am after a recommendation, preferably takes an sd card, has a cracking battery life (if possible replaceable).

Any recommendations, it must sync with mac, I had the galaxy s5, great phone, but couldn't get it syncing with mac computers.

Thanks.

I have just ordered a OnePlus X to replace my iphone 5.
I maybe wrong but I think the syncing has to do with how you set it up.
i have created a google account and sync my contacts with that, to sync with the phone when i get it.
I am just reviewing the apps in the google store and adding them to a wish list.
I have checked the mail settings to get emails setup.

I did consider the LG G4 also.

Although I am getting a little nervous of moving away (have macbook pro and ipad). Have been thinking on and off about cancelling the order.
Need more space than 16GB and the later iPhones are so expensive in comparison.
I no longer get them on contract, so pay upfront for what ever I have.

I have been looking at double twist to sync music.
Installed on the mac, looks like an older version of itunes.
Easily imported all my music and playlists into it :)
Hopefully this will sync over alright.

If you get an invite you can send me I would buy one of those One Plus. I looked at the original one.

Can do. Not sure how often they send them out.

I am considering refusing delivery of mine. Not sure if I am doing the right thing. The iPhone was my first smart phone and everything at home is Mac.

My Samsung Note 2 & 4 have both been brilliant and fit your bill precisely. The camera on the 4 is excellent (better than the iPhone 6+ in my non technical comparisons). There are some excellent second hand deals on the forums.
Can't imagine changing mine for a long time yet.

Oh, and I've got a MacBook Air - works a treat.

I think you get one invite with every purchase but it only lasts a week

Moto G, still the best value smartphone on Android. It may not have a removable battery (although it can be replaced), but it's tough to beat as an affordable phone with performance (if you're worried about battery life bear in mind it's much less than half the price of some of the recommendations on this thread so you could have two and change left over for chips on the way home).

some phones u can get a bigger battery, physically bigger though

Just treated the wife to an LG G4. Wish I had got one too! Very nice phone.

I've been using an Android and Mac combo for some time. There are plenty of Apps about that sort out syncing issues. I mainly just use Google to handle everything and ISyncr for iTunes.

The Oneplus X and the LG G4 are both great phones.
