Hi all,

I hope this is in the right section, basically I'm sick of the gallery on my Nexus 4.

Does anyone know of an app that lets you organise your photos into folders and sub folders?

I hate the way all the folders of photos are on the route of the gallery screen. It takes ages to find anything with all the folders or galleries there.

On my old phones all my pic’s were organised in to categorise and it was so much easier to find photos I wanted to show. I think it’s called a tree structure like on a computer.

The way I use to have things on my old phone was most the pics I take on the phones camera would normally stay in that gallery but most other pics like car, kart and other stuff I use to put in relevant folders and sub folders. Like in the kart folder I'd have sub folders of the different karts, engines and other folders kart related.

Does anyone know of an app that lets you do this? I’ve tried a couple now and all have the same type of route organiser.

I've tried a file manager like astro file manger but the viewer in that is rubbish.

Thanks,

Dee

Have a look at Quickpic. I think that does what you want :)

Thanks, I shall give it a go.

Are there any other that you can recommend?

I also use QuickPic in preference to the dreadful Gallery app, but it is not a photo organiser and doesn't have folder management built in. However, you can view a folder tree within QuickPic and navigate your way towards the nested folder you seek. Just press the little "mountain" icon at the top of the screen to select how the navigation of folders is displayed

If you want something which allows you to create folders and move files around, as well as displaying them, then take a look at ES File Explorer....

Buddy, I feel for ya.....
I have a Nexus 7 and the gallery thing is just SO illogical, it appears to be folders at first glance but then it throws random images into random folders and some contain the same image, some only 1 or 2 images. It's just retarded..... There's a way to reset and force it to recategorise all images, but this it messes up other things, like ringtones and notification sounds.

Awesome stuff, thanks Tim.

I just hit the Explorer and hey presto, folders!

Thanks everyone.
