Android issue with tp web shortcut

Since a recent upgrade I'm having an issue.
I use chrome as my default browser and I had a shortcut for tp on my homepage set to open up in what's new...new posts.
Prior to the upgrade it always opened in chrome but now it opens in Google and opens the active discussions page rather than new posts page.
I have to go into the menu, select and hold new post button and it says "open in chrome" which it then does.
I can't seem to get the link to open in chrome automatically.
It works from a bookmark on the chrome homepage but not from my phone homepage.
All other shortcuts I add to my homepage open in chrome ok....
Any suggestions?

Is anyone else having this issue with the forum through Chrome on Android? Below is how the website renders on my phone. It works perfectly on other devices though. Can anyone shed some light on this?
