Hi all,

I'm using a HTC One M7 (dual sim), android 5.0.2

On occasion, I'd like to be able to send all calls, except those from my favourites, directly to voicemail i.e. without the phone ringing. This way, people calling would get the impression that the phone is off but those who I want to speak to would get through.

Is there an app / native way to do this?

Thanks :)

On my Sony Android phone on the Phone / Dialling App in the menu there is Answering Machine Settings. Here you can switch it on or off and set up an outgoing message. Not used it but it might help.

I have the M8 but the settings are probably similar

Go into the phone app and go to settings. Find call forwarding. You'll see that When Busy, When Unanswered and When Unreachable all show the voicenail phone number. If you select Always forward, you can set it also to that voicemail hone number.

You can set your phone to 'Do not disturb' which will silent everything but you can set exceptions, starred contacts or event notifications etc, which will be able to get through. Set the exceptions via Settings - Sounds/Notifications.
On my Sony phone if I turn the ring volume down to vibrate then press the volume down again the 'Silent' option comes up with a time option for how many hours or indefinitely.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the replies
Will explore and see what happens.

Thanks all
