I have set up a website for north east togs but we havent got many members, hopefully its going to be a kind of online photography club for the north east and arrange monthly meets and competitions

If you're going to use the community that we've spent so long building up through hard work, then at least have the good grace to use your OWN ideas, forum layout and descriptions, instead of just copying ours, and then having the audacity to use our forums to drive traffic to it. That's just plain cheeky.

A sort of online photography club you say? Where people can arrange meets and do competitions you say? Damn, I'm not in the North East. Blast. Oh well. Anyone know of such a site that may do photography competitions, perhaps engage in a little discussion about photomagraphics? Gotta be something out there. Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

I have discussed this already... i was just trying to create a online photoclub in the northeast as there isnt many ....
i only used this site and some of the forums as a basis... i have changed them it was just at the time i needed to fill up with text untill i edited my self...

I'm confused as to why you have set up this forum. Your OP was about courses to help you develop in your photography. This site is established; full of great photographers more than willing to help and advise; full to the brim with inspiring photographs of every genre; is the base for information regarding meets all over the country etc.etc.etc. Doesn't make an ounce of sense to me and to copy almost entirely the TP format for your site well seems a little odd :shrug:

because its maily about north east meets not trying to discourage members from this site... if that was the case i wouldnt be here posting... ive made over 150 posts to this site in 2 weeks how would i be stealing members :bang:

Because I bet there are more north east members here than your forum and to pimp it here would be to hope that they join your forum. That would be stealing members. Your site is currently lacking what TP has. Why reinvent the wheel? Make a thread here and use the member base.

as i have said over and over... im not trying to be this site... im trying to be my own site where beginners and people who are trying out photography go in the north east and then it is more contained that people all over who are professionals who get on here....
there might be more members here from the north east but given that i only started the website a couple of weeks ago no one knows about it really its bound to have more members than mine...
if you dont wanna go to my forum dont go.....
just give up... and some close this forum....

Plenty of room for lots of forums, but its the blatant copying of the text descriptions both on your forum and your facebook group page that really grips my ****. The facebook group page is word for word cut and paste from our front page, and you still havent changed it. We have worked long and hard to make this forum what it is, and to see someone come along and just use the stuff WE produced is, frankly, disgusting. :thumbsdown:

I,ve read this thread with interest and come to this conclusion, that the best thing to do would be to close the thread so it disappears very sharpish, otherwise you may just be inadvertently promoting Andiphotos site which is obviously not what you want to do :shrug:

And what about the facebook page? The ONLY reason you are getting a mention is so that everyone knows you cut/pasted copyrighted materials from here without permission, and you haven't offered up a proper apology either.
