So I managed to find and book some really cheap tickets to Seville for 3 nights. My plan is so far to spend a day in Granada, a day in Cordoba and half a day in Seville. After a bit of advice from people who know or been to the region.

These are my preliminary plans...Ill be getting to Seville around 10pm on a wednesday and will be driving to Granada early thursday morning. See Granada (mostly Alhambra) whole day thursday, stay the night and then drive to Cordoba on friday morning, where I will be staying the night. My flight back to the UK is at 8pm on saturday so I have around half a day to visit seville.
For me the most important things to visit are the Alhambra in Granada and the Mezquita in Cordoba.

So, my questions are...

1. Does it sound like a reasonable plan?
2. Are there any restrictions on how late you can visit the Plaza de Espana in seville? (I want to get that in on the Wednesday night that I get there if its possible)
3. How much time is realistically needed to visit the Alhambra?

And if anyones got any other advice for my trip, you are more than welcome to share :)

Jahir - for La Alhambra I would allow a good 4-5 hours dependant on how busy it may be. It is situated on the outskirts of Granada, I found no problems parking within the grounds and as I understand it during busy times you may have to buy a ticket and be allocated a time slot to enter. It's a few years since I last visited so things may have changed......You could also buy entry tickets from local Banks prior to your visit to Granada but don't know whether this is still an option, but check it out if you can as it may save you some time obtaining your ticket.
Also check out my images at www.pbase.com/dav4184 they may give you an ideas as to what areas you want to concentrate on beforehand.
Have a great trip I'm sure you will really enjoy it.

Thanks Dave. I wont have time to shop around for Alhambra tickets when Im there as Im only there for a day. I have looked online though, ticket master do sell them but they are all sold out for the day and time I want to visit. I have found this thing called CajaGranada that from what I understand has tickets for the Alhambra and I think at this moment in time is my only option.

I was under the impression that you could only way you're guaranteed to get in La Alhambra is with prebooked tickets.

Sevilla is an incredibly beautiful city and you just can't do it justice in half a day.

Go to La Alcázar

Thanks Ricardo, you have some amazing photos there. I will be pre booking the tickets for the Alhambra but I think Ive read that they have some tickets they have available to buy on the day?

As for Seville, I'm hoping to go to the Alcazar on the Saturday I return. I have no where near enough time to see everything that I want in any of the places im going so I will be definitely going back there with more time. I just could'nt resist the cheap flights that ryanair were doing this time :)

I forgot to ask, which lens would be best to use inside the alhambra?
I have the Canon 50mm f1.8 and the Canon 15-85 f3.5-5.6.

Thanks for all your help, I have so much to learn.
