Those roads look horrific though, no way you'd catch me driving on any of them :eek:
 
a couple of year back I took my wife and kids camping in north wales, using the tomtom to find the campsite was useful but the route it chose was festooned with traffic lights because they were rebuilding around 10 miles of road with lights every mile or so
on the way back I though sod going that way so I pressed alternative route and we set off.

we came to a junction and it said turn left , uh turn left where, there was what looked like a dirt track that went left, we were in a 4x4 and had come about 30 miles so i though OK.
the road got better so I carried on, we finished up on a road about 3m wide on the side of a welsh hill, it wasn't anything like any of the pictures in that link but you wouldn't think so from the moaning coming from the passenger seat as the drop was on her side :lol:

eventually after about 3 miles we came out in a village and the moaning stopped, it was a good job nothing came the other way as backing up for a mile wouldn't have been much fun
