Yes
Payday Wednesday.

I am putting away a cool £50.00 towards a D3, which will go nicely with the £1000.00 from one of the D300's that is selling.

So, £1050.00 towards my D3 already. Yippee.

I will of course review it when I get one. In 2011. :gag:

I am determined not to buy it on plastic, but get it outright. I hope. I think I may crack :cuckoo::bonk::woot:

I give you a month before you cave in:lol:

Nah....he'll be gone within 30:lol:

Tested the Nikon D3 afew times now. What a camera...

Like one myself, but I didnt win the lotto last weekend, dont think the wife would be happy if I sold the house...or maybe I could sell the wife on ebay !

Anyway look forward to seeing your review in 2011 ;)

i give it 7 days :lol::shake:

Off to a foreign clime in four weeks, one of the reasons I went for the D300. maybe look at my options when I get back....in 2011

Looks a great camera, was a big Nikon user for 20 + years then switched to Canon when I went digital. The D3 is tempting me back, that ISO performence looks great, god I could use that for my in church wedding shots. But all that Canon gear what a big loss I would have if I sold it. Help I dont know what to do, hurry and buy one and keep us all posted on the results.

Yeah - the thing is that i cleared out all my Canon glass over the last year and Les Mclean had my last lens so it was a clean slate. That said, I would want the 85mm 1.4 as well, but thats serious bread unless imported. :naughty:

You won't regret the D3 purchase, I definitely don't. Not having to worry about ISO because of the film like noise is just so good. Should have my 85/1.4 in the next day or so too. Only problem is the D3 purchase has made me very poor... Not just because of the D3... Since December I have bought...

D3, 24-70, 2x SB-800's, D300 backup, 85/1.5, 5x 300x CF cards

I hear the postman complain about his bad back every time the credit card bill turns up :shake:

So be prepared... You're gonna be poor for a long time :D

Not been on this forum for a long while, but looking at some of your shots I think you deserve a D3 Diego:)

I got mine last week. As a result I now can't afford any decent lenses to go with it for a while yet, which is really annoying me (got another thread open about this somewhere). I too am not one for credit, so think I will start a similar 'lens fund'.

Some days I really do think life is too short to worry too much about money though. And if you can afford to get stuff without getting into debt, or trouble, just bloody do it.

I'm not really into credit either but my current circumstances gave me no choice really. Upgraded from a 400D to 40D as saw the huge benefits and am currently paying back for my 40D and traded in the 400D.

As for your D3 fund, I have a spare 15p on me at the moment :whistling:

I know professional motorsport 'togs who use a D3 and I'm sure you won't be disappointed. It's an outstanding bit of kit from what I hear.
