An ugly behind!

Seen a few of these and have to agree that the rear end is not good.

yep dont really like that car its a bit of a let down from Volvo as well :(

Same guy designed the Fiat Multipla and the Renault Megane' they both look like a burger someone sat on!

Oh I think you've underestimated the effort put into that by the designer. :nono:
It takes real skill to make something that ugly AND so impractical too.
Any damn fool can design an estate with a waistline like Simon Cowells trousers but to make the luggage hatch the size of a bread bin lid and taper the roofline in like an Ethiopian famine victims ribcage....pure genius. They haven't even made a pretence that it will seat 3 in the back!

My neighbour picks hers up in Sept.

She is getting a black R-Design & it looks quiet nice.

The shape of the back doesnt really suit the other colours to be honest.

Also, its not meant to be an estate car (its a hatchback),they have the V50 & V70 for that.

This car is mainly aimed at the younger 'sporty' generation & i think the
centre of the rear seats is split to allow for a surfboard etc.:D

The glass tailgate reminds me of the Chrysler Sunbeam my dad had one, and the catchy tune by lulu, "put a Chrysler Sunbeam in your life it will put a smile on you face" all 931cc if it, and they had the cheek to call it a 1.0L  glass tailgates are notorious for leaking after the rubber seals have perished and turned green, especially with all this humid weather,

I would have expected more from Volvo. i had a S70 T5 nice car.

Regards Mark.

I like the C30...the design is intended to hark back to the P1800ES of the 70s

Personally I think it works very well, not quite up to the standards of the original, but better than most of the uninspiring stuff about at the moment
