Yes
I have bought a great deal from Amazon over the years mostly because of their great customer service but for the last year or possibly more their carriers have got worse and worse!

I cancelled my Prime subscription because of non deliveries of items and the lies of their carriers (Amazon Logistics) about trying to deliver but no one in etc.

But it looks like they still have the same problem because I have now waited in for 2 days for a non existent delivery of a HDD even though Amazon sent me an E-Mail 2 days ago saying it would be delivered that day.

And again the carrier claims they attempted delivery but failed.

And to add insult to injury they now say "A second attempt was made to deliver your parcel. It will be held for seven days awaiting further instructions. Please contact the carrier for the next steps " - the same carrier who has already lied twice about attempting to deliver it!

Anyone else having the same problem?
.

Yes, just recently for the first time.

I think Amazon are brilliant, but this does seem to be coming an issue.

I waited in for a delivery then had an e-mail saying they tried but were unable to deliver.

This was on Friday. They did deliver on Monday.

Yes twice recently, the courier was probably My Hermes but it was just someone in their own van.
Exactly the same story, an invented attempted delivery.
I asked the driver who came next day about it, and she said it had only just been given to her that morning from main depot so no way had anyone tried to deliver.
It's just lies to suit performance figures no matter that you have been grossly inconvenienced by hanging about to sign for an additional day when it was not even in the area.

Yes I've had several items from amazon probably over the last year, that were supposed to be delivered by Hermes and so far not 1 single item has been delivered even though they claim to have tried to deliver etc. To be fair to amazon they have sorted out every item once I've contacted them and had them re delivered by another carrier, but why do they use unreliable carriers ?

Must say I have never really had a problem with Amazon. (Famous last words)

I have to admit my heart sinks when I see My Hermes as the carrier on an order, I've had exactly the same excuses about failed delivery and even had items go missing permanently when they claim to have delivered them to me. RM is brilliant, never failed to meet the delivery target or lost anything.

I have had no problems with any of their stuff delivered by the PO just with their carriers but this does seem to be an ongoing problem with them and their carriers.

A few years ago they ditched Yodel for exactly the same problems and set up their own carrier service but obviously didn't learn from the Yodel fiasco.

There also seems to be a Catch 22 element in the situation because I went to their "return or cancel an order" button and pressed the button to cancel for non delivery of an item only to be told that my money would be refunded as soon as I returned the item!

You sure your delivery is not from one of the HK suppliers.

yep its from hk in saying that i have had items from hk in 3 days

Agreed, no way is that coming from a UK supplier with those dates. In fact they are even slow for HK Marketplace.

I got caught with a sneaky HK marketplace seller last week (has a Scottish address showing when you click details) and that order is due in a shorter time.

With regards Amazon direct and fulfilled by Amazon, I'm lucky enough to have Amazon Lockers just down the road, I always choose them as a delivery option now and in 6 months haven't had a failed delivery.

yea i have seen that a good few times to its same as ebay the have a uk address an it gets sent from hk

TP member in hates courier shocker.....

I have now received another E-Mail from Amazon telling me that my delivery has been re-scheduled for tomorrow at any time up to 21.00!

So another day I'm supposed to wait in and hope they may deign to turn up?

Unfortunately I have to do my shopping tomorrow which, because of the 2 wasted days, has now become urgent.

They also said that if I designated a "safe place" it could be left there - yeah right!

And I also received another e-mail with labels I can print out to send back my undelivered item!

Monty Python's Flying Circus seems almost sane now!

Nope absolutely no problems here, and I probably have on average 2/3 deliveries a week from amazon, as I'm always buying different things from them, such as total a new quilt arrived :D well timed, well delivered...most couriers are good here, I know most of the drivers and the do with my permission leave stuff in our porch quite often, the only odd one is they left a large parcel with my neighbour last week even though I was in, but again no real issue as we are all happy to take delivers for neighbours

Last thing I ordered directly from Amazon, I received a card through the door two days running. Called their customer service centre, was told that it'd definitely be delivered the next day so I moved some things around so I could work from home. The driver who'd managed to put a card through the door two days running then updated the status to say, "cannot locate address". o_O

We had to go away that weekend so I called customer cervix again to reschedule the delivery for the Monday. "Oh, he can deliver any time up to 9pm", says the helpful cervix agent. "Great", says I, "can you ask him to drop it off around 7pm, please?" "No", he says, "I mean he can deliver any time between 8am and 9pm, you can't pick a specific time." "So why did you tell me that?" I asked. "Because he can deliver any time between those hours so he might turn up when you're at home in the evening." "Yes but he might turn up at midday when I'll be at work, right?" "Erm, well, yeah, I suppose so..."

I almost wrote the same thread a couple of days ago!

Like you, fantastic service from Amazon for years. I've even paid a little extra for some of their Prime products because the delivery and after sales service was so reliable. Post Office, DPD, Hermes even Yodel - all delivered when they said they would be.

But the last 6 to 9 months they've switched to Amazon Logistics and it's been terrible. My recent bugbear is ordering a Prime product and it says something like "order within 2 hours for next day delivery" and then a series of contradictory emails with different delivery estimates and the thing taking 2 or 3 days to arrive. Complaints are handled courteously and with the standard paragraphs but usually no explanation, just a 1 month extension to Prime membership (which I won't be renewing).

I think Amazon have taken their eye of the ball slightly and the competition is closing in. I'm gradually building up a list of alternative companies that can provide service at least as good if not better - they just don't have the range of products.

It's been good whilst it's lasted!

Pedantic hat on here, The Post Office/PO do not deliver anything, they just sell the stamps, deliveries are done by Royal Mail or Parcel Force

Virtually the same for me but what gets me is the lies told when their carriers simply can't be bothered to deliver, in this instance I'm waiting for a 4TB HDD costing £100 but the other day when I ordered a kitchen roll holder costing £3.73 it was delivered with no problems within 2 days!

Also it means that I have had to stay in the house awaiting delivery.

Is that a polite way of calling them c****?

I bought a bought a container of liquid soap recently and it was delivered by someone in a saloon car - a Porsche !

You might think that, I couldn't possibly comment.

I've set my Prime membership not to renew when the term finishes. I don't want all video rentals etc and the resent the extra price added for this when I don't want it.

Next day delivery is becoming less and less true to the word and Amazon have stopped calling it free next day in many cases. When they used RM to deliver I could just pop down the road if carded to collect, now I'd have to travel over 50 miles instead. I now have to get my deliveries sent to a Collect+ store instead.

I've also had a number of non deliveries where the delivery agent says they called and carded but most certainly didn't. I don't think the delivery agent gets paid if they are late or don't (say they) turn up.

Not impressed with Amazon at the moment, the only reason I still buy from them is because there's no real competition.

I've ordered loads off Amazon and never had an issue until recently when 2 out of my last 3 deliveries were not delivered because they couldn't find the address. Last order was recieved without issue so hope it's a sign that they are back to normal.

Cheers.

i got a email saying the seller had dispatched my item on the 2nd with this (Your item(s) is (are) being sent by Yodal. Your tracking number is . You can track your package directly on the carrier's website) lol i think they mean yodel but all im getting when i put the tracking number in is(Sorry, we couldn't find your parcel details. Please check and try again) now i know its a long time from Your estimated delivery date is: october 9th -29 is there a time limit if i need to try and make a claim if its a no show?

If you order from amazon and another item goes to dispatch before something else you're waiting for is delivered they seem to spike that delivery and combine them. I waited in all damn day for a delivery and it was a no show. First one I've had. Surprise surprise they are going to deliver 2 things today! No sign of either yet though so if it is another no show Amazon will be getting a curt email.
