Yes it should stop monthly payments for 12 months then resume if you don’t buy another.

It will kick the "next renewal" date down the line, which is when this 12 months expires.

You can also stack them, I have like 3 years stacked up.

The price however varies between £69.99 to like £79.99, and a few quid either side. £70 being the lower end.
