Hi, a question for any Kindle fire tablet users. I use a Kindle fire tablet and want to take it on holiday in the summer. My question is is the lock screen the only security I have for my Amazon account? At the moment once I've put my password into the lock screen I have access to all my Amazon account details, credit card, address etc. Am I able to disconnect from my Amazon account so that all is hidden?
Not sure I'd risk taking it if I can't be sure it's possible.

Make sure the password or phrase you use is difficult enough to guess that a thief won't be able to access it for a long time. If it gets stolen use that time to log into your Amazon account via your phone or other medium and change your Amazon password.

Also, my Android devices all have a piece of software called Cerberus installed, with it I can remotely (via the Cerberus web control panel) lock the device, track it, even wipe it and make it unusable.

All you have to do is add a half dozen or so '/' to the end of your password to make into a 14 or 15 character password.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm going to have to improve my memory if I am going to be able to remember a sixteen digit password!

Yep, use a phrase that you know well but isn't common with a couple of odd characters to make it more secure like... //Mytablet1sonfire//

How difficult is it to remember a password and then ////// ?

Haha kendo1,I'm currently at the get to the fridge door and stand staring into it wondering what it was I came for stage of life!! The song line idea may work though.
