Amazon deliveries - said "handed to resident" but not received

Funnily enough, I've ordered something from Amazon. It's supposed to be delivered on Thursday but I've got an email telling me it's out for delivery today. I've no idea what that means - in the past, it would have meant being delivered today but I've used Amazon enough to know that it means it could arrive any time between today and Thursday.

Nearly every order we've placed on amaz0n has been the same. (good delivery service....but not necessarily convenient)

I bought an item 9am one morning, went for free super saver delivery and it turned up at 10AM the next day. That's with no prime membership or anything.

We just use free delivery 3-5 working days & aren't prime members & get that regularly. We've even had deliveries 24 - 48hrs on Saturdays and even a Sunday!

is that at the old printing site?

Someone I work with had a parcel left in their recycle bin, on recycle day. You know the rest.....
That happened to me, they left the item in my garden waste wheelie bin, that was to the side of the porch, no card through the door to tell me where it was nothing!
Luckily I lifted the lid, to check how full it was, of grass cuttings, before dragging it down the drive ready for collection the following morning.
I've no idea how long the item had been in there either, lucky it wasn't "perishable"
