im looking to buy a canon 450D+kit lens from amazon.co.uk

has anybody had dealings withe them?

what are they like with returns and what not?

or should i avoid them? but they have got the best price i can find

Amazon = good. Delivery = bad.

Normally amazon is good, but you do get the odd glitch as so to speak.

Have they got the best price no they dont. Kerso off ebay does, he's in scotland so it's none of this hong kong rubbish look for his shop "flash camera" on ebay :)
 
I purchased my 400D from amazon as their price was great back in January. I've also ordered a huge amount of other items from them (and theirtrade partners through their site) over the years and never had any issues, the once I needed to return an item it was trouble free.
 
Kerso didn't have any 450D's available last week when I pm'd him, though that may have changed. Amazon were the cheapest according to Camera Price Buster over the weekend, so I ordered one on Sunday, which was dispatched today. Unfortunately I opted for super saver delivery, so they've decided to use a courier I've never heard of, who have a dubious service record looking at a couple of review websites. I'm not fussed if it takes a week or so, as long as I receive it in time to claim my cashback! :)

i have had a look on his ebay shop and the only canon DSLR i can see is the 40D, would he beat or just match amazons 469.99 + canon cashback + free delivery?

if you buy before the 4th but recieve the camera after say the 6th are you still entitled to cashback?
 
Yep, because you use your order confirmation as your receipt, so no probs there. The only concern will be how long it takes for it to actually arrive, as you need the serial number from the camera to put on your claim form. :)
 
Amazon are rubbish at delivering low value items, but excellent about high value items. I have order lots of expensive electricals and they always send them next day delivery (insurance purposes) even if you choose free delivery.
 
I love amazon. I live on Guernsey, channel islands, usually stuff takes a wile to arrive, but amazon are great, never taken longer than two days!!!
I always use them!
