Found this over on hotukdeals, supposedly a list of all the deals that are in amazons black friday event including prices etc. Only thing it doesnt show is when the deals happen!

Black Friday will be this Friday.
It is a term used in the states as it is thanksgiving weekend. They have massive sales on Friday. Businesses can make a fortune or go bust with this day. IIRC, they can make up to about 60% of the years takings across this weekend!

No Amazons black friday deals have been going on since 7am yesterday. The deals all show up at 7am with a countdown timer to when they become valid. Basically they are doing one or two very good discounts and the rest are pretty pants copying the American black friday idea.

I would like to hear from somebody who has really got any stuff through it.
when ever I click, buy, it does nothing or says you are in queue and does nothing again.

Some folk on here got Elements 9 for £22.99 yesterday. Probably depends on the product and how many people are sitting poised at their computers when the deal opens.

The only way I found that I could get anything in my basket was to have two or three windows open and click on all three. nne of them will get to basket stage - however I missed elements 9 and there isn't much discount on other stuff I want.

Cheers folks.
You may be right

tonight I'm going to sit with all 3 computers and minimum three windows each...

May be,...... will end up buying the Winne the Pooh or Razor :D

Atleast will give some :cuckoo:

Personally i have given up trying. :bang:
People are now playing competitions, this is just one i found on amazons forum thread "The how many things can you get in your basket by the end of the day competition!" :cuckoo:
It seems a lot of very sad people are taking the deals and letting them expire with no intention on buying them. :cuckoo::cuckoo::cuckoo:

I got Lightroom and Photoshop in my basket on Monday, but had no intention of buying them myself. I sold them on here for people who missed out.

I think you're right, if you look at the deals from day to day, a lot of them are reposted. Probably due to people letting them expire in their baskets and Amazon trying to get rid of the unsold stock.

I've tried for half a dozen things and missed out each time... then the missus rings me and tells me she's managed to get a Kitchenaid mixer thing for 'only' £150...... cough!

Cheers folks.

having a few windows seems to be working.. clicked for the omlette pan earlier, went into queue so clicked on another page I had open and it went into basket straight away!

just got photoshop elements for £22.99... was thinking about lightroom 3.. but it was only 10-20quid cheaper ...

Also managed to get it for £22.99....so it's a big thanks for the heads up on this, as I would not have known to look on amazon for this 'Black Friday Deal'

Me too for Elements @ £22.99. I was that pleased I almost paid for delivery, but why spoil a bargain?

I also managed to get Lightroom :)

We used 3 laptops and main pc. At 7.59 & 55 sec we started clicking and it worked we got one :)

Mind you my boy found a game he wanted for his ps3 and he got that also, so money saved on lightroom is also spent now

Some people on the Amazon forums gloating about putting more expensive items straight on ebay :bat:

Lightroom 3 is up for grabs at 8.30 this morning...

IF it comes in at £99 or under could someone please grab a copy for me. I'll be on the bus on the way to work. I don't know if I'll be able to grab it with my phone!!

I got me a LR3 for £140 :o)

So did I, not sure how that compares to the student price though, off to check now.

**Edit** student version is a tad under 65 quid, now where is that daughter of mine when I need her.

There's a Canon DSLR coming up today at 1pm on Amzon Black Friday...it doesn't say which one at the moment because it's greyed out but it might be worth clicking on!

If anyone gets the brown Kipling bag let me know...I got a copy of Elements and was so excited I forgot to click on the bag too and now the OH has gone humpy :bat:

Up here black friday is the name given to the friday that the workers break up for christmas when everyone goes out drinking, it dates back to when the pits were open.

Ive managed to get a few blu-rays and wii games on the deals but missed out on the stuff I really wanted
