Anyone on here use Amazon 2 Step verification ?

Ever had any problems ?

I do not have 2SV, but have thought about it (works fine with my online banking - which always has the back up of excellent human to human telephone comms).

Last night I had a 'mare' with Amazon. For some reason that was never properly explained I could not log in and Amazon just kept sending one time pass codes that were rejected.
Because I could not log in to use Chat to sort out the problem I had to telephone Amazon then spend an hour trying to make myself understood / decipher what was being said to me.

That experience left me wondering that if I opted for 2SV would I be introducing another opportunity for something else to go wrong.

If anyone has had problems after opting for 2SV I would be obliged to hear about them.
 
Yes I had an issue with Amazon login a while back. They kept telling me they had sent a code but I never received them.
Speaking to Amazon what a bloody nightmare because nobody actually listens to what you are saying and just recite from a script.

After much buggering about for hours being passed further and further up the chain, I found somebody who sent me a link where I could request that my 2SV was removed. That also took a further 72 hours.

I'd just make sure you have a strong password and forget about 2SV
 
I have it now after I had a phishing phone call saying I had a refund due on my non existent prime membership,
Not had any probs but I don't use amazon a lot because I find it a PITA checking out without inadvertently signing up for prime
 
I have it and used it this morning to buy an Amazon gift voucher. I think it's a great idea.

As for customer service, I think Amazon are in the top three of any company I use.

I use Amazon a lot. Superb when all goes well, but when you get locked out what a PITA. Cannot contact by email except when they initiate the mail.

I have to agree, I will even pay a few quid more for an item because of this.
If only other companies could sort out their customer service.
 
Used it since it was available and do with any service that uses it.

Another thing to remember with Amazon is to use Smile for free charity donation. I donate to Ronald McDonald House Liverpool.
