A friend sent me a link to this amazing video of a time lapse in Yosemite, it is simply one of the most amazing things i have ever seen. Check it out and make sure you watch in HD if you can :)

PS: Sorry if this has already been posted i had a quick look and didnt see anyone post it and wasn't quite sure which forum to put it in either so mods please move it if it is in the wrong place :)

Enjoy!

Like the added motion, adds a nice feel to it but I think you have to be careful of overdoing it.

Excellent and very relaxing.

I was lucky enough to go there a few years back, sadly I don't think I fully appreciated that I was in probably one of the most beautiful spots in the world. That's not to say I didn't think it was lovely tho! I remember the water being so unbelievably clear even if it was quite posinous to drink at all.

Would love to make a trip back there, and especially now I'm into photography, I think would see it in a new way sorta

The night time Milky Way shots at about 3:00 are truly stunning.

That video is simply magnificent!

I went there many yonks ago (1989'ish?) but sadly in my "point'n'shoot badly" days. The Queen said it was the most beautiful place on Earth (she has been to a few places) and I can't disagree with HM! I'd love to go back there with my current kit.

One little oddity I did get over there, I shot what the geeks would say was "definitely" a UFO! I'd taken a shot of the valley on my rubbish little camera and just recently found the prints so I scanned them, as I was doing that I spotted my "UFO" - heavily cropped from a poor quality scan of a poor quality print. Nice little cloud, sorry UFO lol

Wow, that's utterly stunning! (the original clip, not the UFO. Although obviously stunning too ;)

Wow. I could watch that just over and over, totally stunning.

I have seen some stunning time laspe stuff recently, that was one of the best. I want to go there NOW !

Stunning timelapse.

I actually recently bought the Blu-ray of BBC's wonderful Yosemite series - it's well worth watching too. Yellowstone is an absolutely incredible place.

Beautiful.

Watched it with my wife. We got married in the USA a few years ago during a 2 week tour around some of the NP's, one of which was Yosemite. Brought back some great memories.

Thanks for posting

Thats amazing.
Just a question, have they cropped the image to make it look like the camera is moving or have they actually moved the camera for each image?

Does anyone know how many images where used to do this?

p.s. as someone commented on the website "hiker porn" lol

The camera actually moves for those shots using an automated dolly. I don't know how many images were taken to compile this but I'd take a guess at anything between 5000 and 8000.

The quality of this is breathtaking. Makes me want to invest in some new lenses!

Fantastic video, Went there 12 years ago with my late wife, Brought back some wonderful memories.
