Yes
If you wrote a novel about a man producing a device from cheap random components that could 'detect' things (any things) that supposedly works on the same principles as dowsing, who went on to sell thousands of units at £40k a pop for the purpose of detecting explosives in Iraq..... Well, you wouldn't find a publisher to take such a nonsense work of fiction.

And yet.

Staggering!

High value criminal..........deserves a high value sentence

Quite frankly thats disturbing, bomb detection based on faith, to all intents and purposes.

You're right, you couldn't make it up.

ATSC's Jim McCormick, 53, was detained on Friday on suspicion of fraud by misrepresentation, Avon and Somerset police said.

he deserves to be extradited to Iraq, let them deal with him in their judicial system :bat:

An Iraqi army officer said "Whether it's magic or scientific, what I care about is it detects bombs, " Just goes to show, faith can detect bombs as well as move mountains.

they should get him out to Afghanistan to do some field trials

If a company like Minelab can't make one, then it can't be made.

hes sold 6000 units...

i like how James Randi has offered him 1m if he can prove it works. If Randi is involved, it definately doesnt work
