Amateur photographer looking to gain some tips!

Hello all!

My name's Eddy and I'm new to the forum! Been into photography for almost a year now and am looking to refine my skills. I feel I'm growing out of my Canon 450D after only 7 months, but am sure it has plenty more to offer. That, or I blow some cash on a nice upgrade!

So yeah, expect to be hearing a lot from me!

There is a lot of good advice to be had here. Don't think upgrading is the key to getting better also it's not all about the body, generally getting better glass can have a much bigger benefit so really will depend on the areas that you are struggling with when shooting and where you want to see improvement.
