hi all

to anyone who is struggling with the current financial climate please dont take this thread the wrong way, but am i the only one looking forward to when the recession hits and ends? so that all this doom and gloom news that we see everyday can stop? i know it sounds silly and i feel genuinly bad for people who are facing repossesions, job losses, business closures etc etc but im just gettin fed up of turning the news on everyday to doom and gloom, (note to mods: if you feel this is inappropriate please delete this thread like i said no offence is meant)

I just want to turn on the tv without seeing Strictly Come Dancing or I'm a Z-list Celebrity Lesbian, Get Me Out of Her

that would also be nice but on the plus side my speculation is that when the tv stations start to feel the pinch these type of shows will be the first to get chopped

Unfortunately not, these are the bread and butter shows nowadays, quality factual and entertainment shows will be the first to get the chop, leaving us with endless Cash-in-Bin type shows......and Friday Night with six million pounds of our money Jonathan Ross

It's a giant reset button, this is always going to happen every generation or so. It's going to be a rough ride but I think things will be better for it once everything settles down. I think everyone is fearful with regards to what the future holds. I've seen a lot of friends loose their jobs recently and I'm on edge too, but in the long run lessons will hopefully be learned.

I think the antidote is less realistic TV. What happened to Dallas, Quatermass and the like???
