Am I losing it / have I lost it? (open thread)

I stopped having odd socks when we bought a new washing machine, my wife was convinced the old one ate my socks......
All my socks are the same colour, problem solved (y)
Even if some get lost I end up with a pair eventually :D

10mm socket?

I can never find the 10mm socket in my toolbox, because I always forget that I leave it permanently attached to the short extension bar so that I can find it immediately

I have a couple of spares that I've found under the bonnet. Had it been after a service from the guys who do it now, I'd give 'em back but since they were both after main stealer work (1 service, 1 warranty job), I reckon I've paid for them several times over!

Been doing that for few years now, same brand, style & colour. Guess which socks I can no longer find stock of?

The bulb in the ceiling light in the loo had blown.
As I went in with a new bulb I tried to turn the light on to see what I was doing …
Me too, and quite a few times.:)

I recall my parents doing some shopping in Morrisons and when they got back to 'their' car my dad unlocked it and as he was unloading the shopping into the boot a man came to him and thanked him for his generosity. :) They had identical cars....same make and colour but amazingly the key for my dad's car opened that chap's car.

The same thing happened to two of the people I knew through my work. We were at a regional meeting and when it ended they returned to their, company, cars and found that their cars both unlocked when one of them unlocked their own car.

Mrs Nod has 2 pairs of identical walking socks which are L/R specific. Well, they're supposed to be... One pair must be for me to dance in and the others are both Rs.

I've gone one better than that as all my clothes, towels and bedding are black and identical so mixing & matching is never a problem. :)

As far as anyone knows; I wear the same clothes all the time - it's amazing I don't stink. ;)

The only thing white in my place is the shower curtain as it was here when I moved in, but I'll be changing that to a black one soon . . .

The worst socks I have are those with days of the week on the sole, not only do you have to pair them up but you have to remember which day of the week it is before choosing which pair to wear.

All my clothes wash at 60°C and tumble dry. Some of their labels suggest otherwise but I can assure you that they do! Anything that fails the test goes to charity.

Now, where did I put the washing machine...

I just went deaf in my left ear, so I went into the lounge to change the batteries in my hearing aids.

I just got back from the lounge into the bedroom (where I was before) wondering why I'd gone into the lounge.

I'm still deaf in my left ear . . . :banghead:

Between one of mine telling me the battery needs changing and me finding the batteries, I usually forget which is in need of replacement.

I too am experiencing "senior moments" with increasing frequency.
Just last weekend I returned home from a well known supermarket, went into the house and put my shoes on in place of my slippers.

Had you been shopping in your slippers?
Or shouldn't I ask?

:D
Yes.
I normally put my slippers on when I enter the house, but because I was already wearing them I automatically swapped them for shoes.

Another thing I do more frequently is I start a sentence and then

I keep waking up at omigoditsearly and go for a pee.

MUCH better than NOT waking up...

Agreed.
But It can be a tad inconvenient non the less :D

Not as inconvenient as NOT waking up!!! At least Mrs Nod has to be up at omigoditsearly twice a week so we're used to it.

I could tell you but then I'd have to kill you... ;)

The only reason I know what day of the week it is is because it's on my prescription tablets box when I take them first thing. :D

Write it down, all the same font, no spaces :D

Lol. That's a bit harsh . Well, my wife couldn't sort it and suggested I took it to young Daniel who did sort it. I have no idea how he did it. I'll admit that as he handed it back to me he had that " knowing smile' on his face. :D

Crikey! That's really hot. I wash nearly everything at 30 degrees.

PS - where do I find the degree symbol?

I know it's really hot! Unfortunately, it's the default setting for our machine so although I almost never use it, I know that all my stuff will stand it! We do everything at 40°C (alt+0176 gives you ° in Windows) unless it's deemed to need a hotter wash (management decides when that is!!!)

Sorry, as Trevor says, using the numeric keypad, it should give you ° - it definitely does here! (Not sure how to do it on keyboards without a numeric keyboard.)

Cross posted.

Not for me it doesn't, it opens a new page

Just tried turning num lock off and alt + 0176 and it sent me to my home page but had searched for alt + 0176 and gave assorted options.

Bloody computers!!!
