am i asking to much? (tripod)

I would like to know if i can get a tripod that is sturdy with preferablly a ball&socket head (not essential) for under the £50 mark?

I have looked at the jessop ones but when trying to tilt the head, it doesnt go all the way and you have to lower one of the legs to compensate for this.

I bought a hama gamma 74 tripod from ebay for £12. With my 400d its really quite sturdy. If I ever invest in any heavy lenses then I will have to buy another one. But for the time being its just what I need. It extends to 170cm too! It tilts, pans and flips (for portrait shots). i've used it out side on a windy day to and my camera was fine.

can't answer the first part of your question,but i have a jessops TP323 tripod for sale...used twice only before i got myself a manfrotto 190XPROB,looking for £25 inc postage....

this is the one my freind has, i'm not a big fan.

My issue is that i have a tripod, and was looking at monopods earlier, but i thought why have a monopod when the tripod is a crappy thing that is not steady at all.

no problem gazedd...why not do a search for redsnapper on here,aparently they're good value for money without the cost of a manfrotto,gitzo etc etc...and i believe he is a member on here also...
