Popped over to my nans today to get some bits down out of the loft for her, also took along my camera for her to have a fiddle with as she has an old pentax and canon eos film camera.
After getting the stuff from the loft, and having a look at the air show pictures from yesterday, she goes upstairs and comes down with a brand new lowpro slingshot and a basicly brand new tripod.
She won the bag in a raffle, and bought the tripod but never uses it, so passed them both to me.

She's also offered me loan of the pentax plus the couple of lenses she has for it. I'm touched by the offer, as she is rather precious about that camera, I just don't have the time at the moment to concentrate on getting the best out of it, would it simply be a case of taking a photo with the dslr, and using the same settings on the pentax? Surely that would be too easy.....
