Yes
Bearing in mind that film in general is probably considered as an alternative process in a digital world, what do forum members consider are alternative processes.

I'm sure we all agree that salt printing, cyanotypes, bromoil and all that are alternative processes.

But what about less exotic processes such as lith printing, and toning?

And is using something like a pinhole camera an alternative process?

NO! You have it all wrong!

Film is the real deal, smigital is the alternative process!:p:D

OK, seriously though, not sure about pinhole being an alternative process but IMHO anything other than a "by the numbers" processing of a film would be an alternative process...

Pushing and pulling, cross processing and all those you mentioned.

Van Dyke etc...

I suppose even wet plate / collodion could be considered an alternative process.

Just my thoughts...

I'm not convinced pushing or pulling could be considered classically alt process, as by definition it's the same process, just done for slightly longer or shorter. When it come to black and white this is especially true as the whole thing is subjective anyway

Anything outside of the silver gelatin process I would regard as alt. That would land collodion firmly in that camp, but dry plate not so much as its basically exactly the same but with a glass not plastic support

Any process where the holding substrate is not gelatin and/or the light sensitive material isn't a silver halide would be my definition of alt process. They're also usually pretty good fun and produce lovely results
