Alternative hood for 17-40?

Anyone remember what the alternative hood it is that people use with the 17-40 F4? Thanks

Not sure about full frame Robert, supposed to be better for 1.3 and 1.6 which I have though I suspect it might give some vignetting on the 1D at 17mm but I'll let you know when it arrives

I can't comment on the 17-40 but I have the 16-35 which I think users the same hood......I bought the EW-83DII and found it far to tight a fit. I now use a EW-83H as an alternative hood.

I think thats the hood I was using with with my 17-40 on the 20d

i went back to the original hood on the 5d, so i have one sitting round doint nothing.

I use the hood from the EF-S 17-55mm F2.8 IS. It works great on 1.6x cameras.
