I have a a canon 430 mk2 and a 580 mk1 that I got when I had Canon cameras.

As I've now sold my Canon stuff it seems like that might be a lot of flashgun to have when I can't use the ttl features of them.

Wondering if I should sell them and get some cheaper generic flashguns but I like that the canon guns are good quality solid items and worry that if I goto something like a jessops or Yong Nou flash then they will be really crapply built in comparison.

If you can Brian, stick with the Canon flashes you have, they are very good quality and will enable you to do far more than you would with inferior ones.

Yeah I hadn't really planned to sell them so don't need to. I'll hold onto them. Cheers.

So, if you are not using Canon any more, that means all those TTL functions are pretty useless.

Wouldn't it make more sense to get some used Nikon SB24, 25, 26, 28, 80 and invest the surplus into triggers and modifiers?
