I currently light with a couple of flashes mounted on stands with shoot through white brollies and I'm looking to play around doing some indoor portrait work in my spare room - was looking around at cheap backdrops (nothing expensive) and came across this that may suit an alternative:

Was thinking it would take up less storage space in the house, erect quicker than stands and I could always use it outside for other projects.

It's a shame it doesn't have a grey colour, but then it is supposed to be a reflector. The black and whit would be the obvious choices I think.

Would this work, or would I be better with some stands and muslin in shades of my choice?

If you want dirt cheap you could just try a King Sized flat sheet pinned to the wall.

That's exactly what I have at the moment - it's the best ironed sheet in the house!
