also new and looking for advice

i have came across this site by accident and looks great.i am looking to take photography to next stage.im just a novice and love my camera too bits and would love any advice in using this camera to its best.so info im looking for is information on the sony dsc-r1

1.whats the best settings to use in dark.
2.some equipment would be good to use with this...ie flash/lenses/filters.
3.what type of printer would be best.and anymore info on camera equipment.

First of all welcome to the forum.

Now this forum is a hive of information, critique and general encouragement from amateurs and pro's alike. But on this occasion I don't think you will get a mass of help. let me explain why, first of all you have asked a lot of questions there and each one is so broad it is almost unanswerable.

It's akin to walking into a car dealer and asking for a vehicle, some good tyres and the best petrol to use.

May I recommend you hang around and spend a little time in here, maybe do some searches using key words such as the type of camera you have this will bring back some reading material for your perusal.

If that fails then come back in here and ask again but I recommend you give a thread to each question and give a little more detail as to your requirements ie:

What are your main interests photography wise.
what gear you already own and why it's not giving what you need
how much you have to spend

I think you will get a much greater wealth of info if you follow these points.

I'm sure it was just a typo but I think you mean a wide angle lens...

As said this place is great and the people very helpful if the original posters ie the person posting the original question looks like they have tried to obtain the answers them selves and not just get everyone else to do their homework for them...
