Alsjazzeras 2016 TP 52 WEEK 52 CELEBRATE/CELEBRATION ADDED

Very clever take on the theme Allan. Some great PS skills there. Love the B&W conversion

Now that is a cracking image Allan (y)
Very nice PS work, and the B&W processing suits it well.

Like it, Allan.

Well processed and Iike the POV.

Crit, well, I'd prefer the thumb underneath the spoon, at least that's how I hold my spoons.

Cheers and a relaxing week for you :)

Love it Allan...that's right up my street!
The cracked effect in the hand and spoon is superb. (Unless you actually have such a severe skin condition, then I humbly apologise :) )

My skin is fine thank you, as for Janes  its her hand, she is not too happy with how i processed it before adding the cracks,
glad you liked it :)

A very well considered image Allan - I like the reversal of effects on breaking a boiled egg. Excellent shopping great imagery. (A bit of moisturiser may help recovery)

Thanks CarI, will let her know

Brilliant idea very well executed, a really strong image for the theme. Did you photograph the cracks or draw them?

It is just an idea my PS skills aren't up to it to be honest, but I liked the idea and did the best I could with it, the cracks are PS brushes

Nice PS skills to create an interesting juxta position,Nicely thought out and executed.

Thanks

I was expecting more egg based humour to be fair, glad you like it

Funny you should mention the thumb position:wacky: I thought the same I set up the shot told her to pretend to break the egg, I remember saying hold the spoon properly,

didn't like the look I got :bat:

this is how Jane holds a spoon :jawdrop:, weird I know

OOooo smart Allan !!!

Real good effect you have done there, a very high key image, I'm not so keen on the egg cup, a bit too bright for me, but that is ubber picky as all in all a superb shot

I will have words with the prop department and make sure it never happens again :p

Best I could do at the time ...
Hmmmm perhaps I'd better shell out for a new yolk book :(

Well I was in two minds as to whether if you photographed them or drawn them, so they are very well done IMHO.

This is Good Allan. (y) ... it's been said.

Not criticism but a suggestion .... for some reason I'd like to see the egg more central, and that could be nicely done by adding a bit up top making the egg equidistant to top and LHS.

Great idea and very good photoshop skills! Definitely fits the brief.

Really nicely done, especially the spoon.

thanks

I have cropped the top, I deliberated for a while about it , it looked better like this, get over it :p

thank you

What a brilliant idea and well thought out too, love it

thanks

Very well executed shot of the web there Allan, but I think I prefer the flower in the rain.
The way you've captured the rain drops as trails is pretty amazing. (y)

Cracked made me chuckle. I didn't realise there was a 'crack' brush in PS (probably isn't in CS2...)
I had assumed it was a texture added to a mask.

The brush was downloaded, probably not compatible with your steam powered version of PS :naughty:

Loved this one the minute I saw it Allan,a great idea, really nicely done, one of my favourites this week :0

Thank you Susie :)

Yep thats kinda weird, it took me a few seconds to figure out what the first one was,
then I saw the second, and it all became clear ( well almost :D )
1st for me too Allan.

Hi Allan.
The first one for me, due to the eye contact.
What effects did you use?

No effects pretty much straight outy of camera

1st for me too Allan.

I only included the second one to define it a bit more, thanks for looking in

"or maybe this one?" ................. Is a great image

but I guess the main one's more on theme.

I really like that, I assume it's ICM and it is nicely controlled and retains enough of the details whilst having a good "painterly" feel too it.

The first one for me Allan, I think it's the lines that lead my eyes in more effectively :)

Thanks

I like that one too

ICM indeed, Thanks

#1 for me, I like the effect.

Yes, I think #1 has that extra Spooky factor with the eye contact and the slight colour coming through with the slabs. Good thinking Allan.

Hard to decide which one I like best Allan, I think the second one has the edge as a stand alone image, love the swirling movement in it.

I like the second one too but the first one is I suppose is more sinister

WEEK 45 POSE

Queen Victoria by Allan Howe, on Flickr

not really happy with this but it will have to do, my original choice was an antique doll shop in Chester, i went on Saturday afternoon but the window display was ruined by a christmas display :bat:

Hi Allan. That is a readily identified Pose for monarchs so spot on theme .... it suits the bold b&w treatment I must say. Something about the shop window even dressed for Christmas which draws me towards that as preferred choice. Maybe because it looks quaint, timeless - nice.

That's a "we are not amused" pose.

Queen Vic for me Allan, even if she isn't amused.

The shop is not really an entry but glad you like it I only included it as my heart dropped when I saw it.

Definitely not amused

Queen Vic for me Allan, even if she isn't amused.

Thank you, have to say I prefer the Jenna Coleman version
