Alsjazzeras 2016 TP 52 WEEK 52 CELEBRATE/CELEBRATION ADDED

Hey Allan :)

Activity - Now that is an interesting activity for sure, I really like the angle and PP used, but for me its the shadow that makes it, nice

Would love to know how you do your boarders, that works real well here on my black theme :)

Life - Liking the composition here with the lines of the light petals drawing eyes into the feast in the center, not certain that the surround is a tad too bright or if it is just my monitor and tired eyes :)

I think your composition for "life" works rather well, and great sharpness in the details.

Needs a WB tweak, bend the RGB Curve then Posterize it.

Nah, it's perfect Allan. Top job.

Very clever idea for your activity shot and well taken. I love the softness of the petals against the sharpness of the flies in life. You captured the rainbow colour and details in the wings so well - I've struggled to get that right on these flies recently.

Very nice Allan, as mentioned maybe a little tweak to make it "pop" but that's really a hyper criticism

thanks, we are in hyper crit are we, i'll bare that in mind

Well spotted, Allan, I lifted the shadows a touch in LR and it gave it a little more punch.

Wello and god detail.

Cheers.

Thanks will have another look

That drop-off in definition and colour works really well Allan. Like the strong detail in the flies and flower.

thank you Carl

Its just your tired eyes honestly , the border is from silver effects No 6 in the border selection maybe

Very nice Allan nice detail

Thanks

Thanks d00d, posterise is indeed a very under used tool

thank you, the rainbow colour was more luck than judgement, sorry can't really offer any advice its not something I do a lot of

Like the idea Allan, tend to agree with a few others though, mind you my flora was a tad similar with the contrast. One for the future. Like it though overall

Hidden - very sinister the B/W processing adds to the drama

Yikes !! Excellent concept and I like the composition - b&w is unquestionably the right choice for the image.

It could only have been you Allan :)
Liking the grainy effect, too much noise for a 70d though in normal conditions, did you take it deliberately underexposed and pulled it back in post to give it the noise/grain?

Yes the gritty processing definitely adds to the effect. sinister and on theme.

Thank you

Lot of PP here, very high ISO and added grain who knows what else I really don't remember

Ooh..very dark and gritty - I'm a bit scared but I like it! (y)

Thank you

Nice idea and good use of B&W and heavy grains treatments.

Thanks

Love the grainy feel to this......Psycho springs to mind.....the film that is, not you....or maybe it is you and your dark and sinister interpretations :exit:

Very nice Allan, nice and gritty and to the point
(sorry :D )

what fun! And the OTT processing works well.

Great idea, and the graininess of the B&W conversion fits very well.

Its probably me

Very nice Allan, nice and gritty and to the point (y)
(sorry :D )

Thank you, do you keep a book full of bad puns

Its a bit like Tom Jones song Delilah, she felt the knife in her hand and he laughed no more, or should it the other way round.

Thanks never thought of it like that, but I see what you mean

Great image Allan love the B&W processing and composition

Thank you

Hidden - damn now that I like a lot, especially the PP, detail in the shadows/sleeve creases, the light coming through the slatted blinds unblown, love it you sick mother (y)

If there is a line to cross, you can rely on me

Great idea, and the graininess of the B&W conversion fits very well.

Thank you

I just make'em up as I go along, TBH Allan.

Rather like a photographer looking and "seeing" a scene ( I never could do that :( )
I see an image or sentence and see the pun / joke in there

:D

Interesting use of double exposure to create a ghostly effect, sorry but I can't help but be drawn to the trainers on the LHS which stand out much more strongly than the rest of the ethereal figure. That said, good idea well captured.

Well thought out Allan, I quite like the "Ghost" it adds to the atmosphere :)

Lonely, I'd hoping to make a few of these Ghost photographs. I like that there are only 2 people in there, but would prefer more.....just me.

B&W works well.

Cheers.

Excellent idea with that ghostly figure and b&w is absolutely atmospheric. (I like the landscape with those weeds growing through the paving and the partly hidden steps leading away).

I agree trainers are a little bright

Hi Allan ....perfect choice in the B&W and a great choice of location ....really like the composition, for me it works without the spooky figure ....I think just the person on the right creates enough of a lonely atmosphere.

I did think abut the lone figure shot as I took about 10 pics with the thought of layering them all together it just didn't work out, so i was tempted to put the single figure in but thought i would try to put over my original idea,
the location is the garden one plus point I didn't have to go far to do it

As I said above Andy did take about 10 pics which I did try to blend together I couldn't get it to work in PS though :(

:jawdrop:Dont mention the weeds  :D

I'd argue, artistic expression if questioned about them.

good way of saying Lonely ... works well. (y)

Hidden - Very sinister - the black and white with the light from the window works really well:clap:
Lonely - Very interesting composition and perfect for the theme:clap:
