Hey folks! My name's Ross, I'm 19 and from County Durham! I'm just getting into photography...I say that..I Don't actually own a camera at the minute however at the end of this month I will be purchasing a Fed 3

http://uk.shop.lomography.com/cameras/russian-cameras/fed-3-refurbished

I like the idea of using film so I have a hard copy of all of my work, but I do have one query will I need to do all processing myself...if so...HOW?! haha its one side I have not yet looked into! is it expensive? complicated...can a rookie such as myself read a few guides and give it a go in a trial and error manner or will I end up blowing lots of money and getting nowhere?

If this needs reasking in another forum please point the way,

Thanks guys
Ross

Hi Ross and welcome.

Be worth asking your questions of the Film forum. I am not up to date with film costs. Left film and D&P behind many moons ago.
You don't need to do your own D&P and it is a lot to take on board when you are just starting out. You could end up blowing lots of dosh.
That's one of the beauties of digital. Once you have the camera + pc then you can take 1000's of pics at no extra cost. That's good when you are learning (If you want hard copy you can always get prints done - at extra cost. You are not likely to want prints of everything you photograph).
