Well I've almost got most of my equipment now, canon 550d being delivered today by jessops after having trouble trying to get a 18-200mm canon lens off em.

Reordered through amazon, hopefully be getting that Friday or Monday.
Already received my 2 spare batts, 3 memory cards 2x8gig and 1 16gig, 1 polorizer, 1 skylight, 1 lensehood all I need now is my bag...

Can't wait to give it all a go, wants some practice in before my hols in 2 weeks....oh and a tripod off our favourite auction site...:-)

well i dont know what you had before but I got a 550D + kit lens last week and alhtough I've only had a quick shot - I'm very happy with the results. HD video is very nice but takes up a lot of space :)
 
Nothing for a long time...Used to have a canon EOS100,,,many moons ago..
Then sorta drifted away from photography..Just had a canon SX200is for the last couple of years.

This will be my first DSLR, well the body came today..itching now to play...just gotta wait for my lens, was hoping it was going to come tomorrow from Amazon. Looks like it's going to be Monday by the earliest now..:eek:
 
Remember.... no real man reads the manual! :) You have to work it out for yourself or ask other men on the net :)
