Wife has just found out that I have bought yet another lens. She is running round like she has been eating a lemon......;)

has any other togs outt here get this treatment when they get found out that they have spent the life saving on equipment?:thumbs:
 
I'm about to buy a new camera, told the wife how much it was and all she said (as I'm taking her away next year for her 40th and been saving hard for it), if you buy it will we still have spending money when you take me away next year :lol:

All sounds completely normal behavior to me. It normally wears off after a time. I would'nt worry :D

I just collect brownie points and trade them in. Nearly finished decorating the bedroom, so I am well on my way now :D
Just remind her it comes under section #1 For better or for worse :lol:
 
chivers67, spend a little more than you want to and send the OH away on her own. Saves you a few quid, you get better glass and a few days to use it without the nagging. Sorted.;)

Never go there. I'm a firm believer in the "no dear I've always had that lens" theory, or,

"Just got real lucky on Ebay"

If Mrs T knew what I spend on equipment.......:gag:
 
I show mine other pics from the lens i want to get and usually get a "Oh you've got to get one of those, they're great". :D

I don't care what she says, I earned it so I'll spend it :D She has her own career and spends her money on herself
 
It would be interesting to know how women who are into photography get around the probelm with their OH, but I got a pretty good idea :naughty: :shake:

Doesn't really count for me just yet as my only purchase as been my DSLR and 2 lenses. But I've been toying with the idea of a UWA for a few months now, and basically as long as the bills are paid, what's left of my salary is mine to do with as I please.

But there's always the sweet talk option . . . a few homebaked goodies, an offer to cook when it's not my turn, offering to do a few of his chores, adult cuddles :naughty: . . . and with a certain festive celebrationary period coming in a couple of months, getting a few brownie points in the bag may be in order too! :D

I genuinely have spent our life savings on equipment. And my pension fund. And a load of borrowed money too.

So far my wife's been pretty good about it, all things considered.
