What photography related presents are you getting/hoping for/buying for yourself this Christmas?

I've asked for a new bag... An F-Stop Satori which will be great for trekking. :thumbs:
 
50mm f/1.8 Wondering if i can justify a 3rd lens so soon after getting an SLR, but if its bought for me i'd be pretty chuffed :)
 
I'm getting the Redsnapper Tripod & Head Christmas special from the wife. :thumbs:

My parents will be giving me some money towards a new DSLR and/or lenses - it was my birthday on Wednesday and I also got some money towards the same fund! :clap: Now, is it to be the D90 or D300....hmm :thinking:

EDIT: My first line does read a bit crude...alas my wife doesn't offer that kind of Christmas special! :nuts:

Nowt. Absolutely b****r all. Nada.Not even a CF card!

My family refuse to buy me any togging gear on the grounds that I have too much already :)

I'm actually happy just to spend time off with the family and go for walks on the beach up at Formby. Fresh air, time to ourselves.........that's me happy :)

Mind you I did pick up an Epson P2000 for a steal on ebay last week but shhhhhh!
 
Well the 5D MKII is looking very tempting but no one I know is rich enough to buy it for me, let alone myself...so I'll be saving for it for next Christmas I think :(
 
im getting two new sigma lenses for xmas the 18-200 and the 70-300 and also will be getting a d80 bady for my bday 5 days after.lol i cant wait.
 
I also treated my self,
to a Nikkor 70-200 F2.8 VR
 
Im getting a Giottos quick release bracket for my ball head, beanbag, Lowe Pro mini trekker backpack, walking boots, gloves which have a fold away mitten type to allow use of camera and of course the wife chiped in and bought me the D300--started using this already..There are a few other suprises but i wil nee to wait for those.lol.
 
Hmm, Santa (well Warehouseexpress) will be delivering my BG-E2N grip for my 50D with a spare battery on Tuesday so that'll be my prezzie.

Then again my Manfrotto 190XPROB and 486 RC2 head were supposed to be prezzies too, oh and so were the Cokin filters, hahahaha.

It's great when you are your own Santa!!!!
 
Well, got my 450d from the folks. Getting a 55-250mm IS from the missus. And a lowepro 100AW from the in laws.

So i'm a happy weeble!
 
I got myself the 50D, Canon 1.4 upgrade from a 1.8 and a down payment on a 70-200 f2.8 IS
the wife is getting me
BG-E2N grip + 2 batteries
lens cleaning bits and bobs
Did ask for abag as well but that may be pushing it!

I was planning on getting a 17-40L some time in the new year, but I've just come across a used 24-70L at what seems to be a very good price so I should now be expecting a nice little parcel tomorrow!
 
dont think i am getting anything photography related tbh

didnt ask for anything related as i buy and sell quite abit so it may not last long lol

know some of the things i am getting, the usual DVD's socks and so on lol but happy with anything, i get money from grandparents and parents so that will go towards a printer on boxing day
 
Not expecting anything from anyone, although I'll probably get a few odds and sods. However, the winter solstice fairy arrived a couple of days early and nicked my credit card to obtain a D700 with the 24-120VR. Not had too much of a chance to do a lot of playing yet but so far, I'm quite impressed with the high ISO smoothness of the camera and the VR capabilities of the lens.

Just need to persuade my brother in law that he needs a second hand (but still minty) D200 rather than a 450d so i can put the cash towards the CC bill!
 
For myself: Nikon 10.5mm Fisheye

From the family: Sigma 20mm f1.8 (thanks to Jessops for knocking £70 off, what are the chances of that for such an uncommon lens!)

The money saved on the Sigma should get me a nice Crumpler as well, probably a Muffin Top.
 
From the wife a Nikon 50mm F1.8 with filter plus some Jessops vouchers from my parents which i might put towards a tripod (or possibly a longer lens :thinking: ).

I am hopin that santa brings me the skills to use the camera i've got and then to be world know for my art......lmao

Get a proper lens case, they're not that expensive



It would keep the lens cleaner as well :lol:
