would you mind saying a rough cost for the lens?
I went off looking at the 5d today and they only had the kits in stock with that lens. If i do that way I'd have to sell the 24/105 on as it's un needed.

I love the 5D. Glad I went for it and not the 30D. As for the 24-105mm. Luvverly. I use it now more than any of the others. For single portraits though - I use 85mm 1.8. You won't be disappointed.

I had the same problem.. do you go for the 5D or not.
I collected it 2 days ago 9am in the morning, I went for either the 30D or the 5D the 30D didnt get a look in. picked up the 5D stuffed in battery and CF and never put it down again.
I got body only for £1749.99 from Jessops they were showing 2 others body only in the company one in London and somewhere else (dont remember)
Jessops price match the internet (U.K. based only) so find the cheapest price you can which they will match and get them to do a shop transfer.( I didnt price match as the insurance were paying)
You wont regret it, I havnt used it much as im busy but... Dang it good

I just don't understand the pricing as 2 weeks ago i was in jessops and the 5D was just over £1450 (the day before the cashback offer started) and now jessops sells it for £1749
Luckily i got my 5D kit from jessops for £1999 since i had it reserved and when i went back (5 days later of pondering) it shot up to £2099 After speaking to the manager and being told nothing could be done i walked away - he came chasing after me and said he could do it for £1999 Just reminds me of shopping in china when you haggle prices and walk away and they chase after you and saying "you got a deal, but i'm not making any money from you!"
