Yes
My missus just got a big box of Milk Tray from a neighbour, we have both been fighting to get the Coffee one first. Until we realised there is no Coffee ones in the box! I am also sure there used to be a Turkish delight style chocolate in the box, but nothing like that in the box! Looks like there is a good few choices missing, there are ten choices in the big box she got, I am sure there used to be more choices than that :(

Next time you see the Milk Tray man diving from a window, it will be because my missus flung him head first out the window ;)

Bluegh hate the coffee ones even though I absolutely love my coffee! Same goes for any of the cream ones.

Caramels or nut for me..

But I'd much rather have the lindt balls, they are to die for

We get the big boxes of Lindor (known here as Buddha ballcocks!) from Makro.

I did see an advert recently, they are apparently advertising for a new milk tray man ...
Now I know why :D

But I agree the coffee ones a were the best

Jammy git!! I bet it's much cheaper :D

Yup! Although bulk buying soon after choccy seasons can often be worth doing, with the boxes that are usually £7 or so being closer to a fiver as well as dented boxes often being flogged off dirt cheap. For Milk Tray, we usually avoid the boxes of perfect chox and get the bags of misshapes from the Cadbury's shop at Street. Pot luck with flavours and sometimes just solid chocolate rather than filled but so much cheaper than pretty boxes!

If indeed there was a Coffee one,
Definitely was somewhere, because I used to grab them as well but maybe it wasn't milk tray after all ?

Only other Chocolate box that springs to mind, is Week End. What a strange name for a box of chocs. I think they were seen as the low cost choice..

I don't suppose it was Gary Myers fault, he was only delivering them

Meanwhile, eagle-eyed shoppers have also noticed the absence of coffee creams and mocha-flavoured chocolates,
Ah so we hadn't lost the plot after all (y)

I used to and still detest coffee-flavoured chocs. I used to love the Turkish Delight ones. Sad they're not in the box any longer.

Has anyone noticed the "500g" tins of quality street etc get smaller every year. They're now down to below 375g. But they still cost the same I've noticed. So its true, inflation is at an all time low. :cautious:

Only get the tins a begging for menaces time. Get decent ones though - few beggars (none this year) so I get to eat what's left over... ;)

Not just sweeties.
Pretty much all prepackaged foodstuffs.
Pack prices remain the same...contents shrink.

And my favourite bitch at the moment, packs of cigarettes, reduced to 19, and many then to 18 without warning.
10% stealth increase and now the bloody price has gone up too!

There is an obvious answer... ;)

Greece is even cheaper...

I love Lindt. I'm in Zurich with business quite a bit and stock up on the pick and mix every time I go over. It's the only chocolate I enjoy. Really not a chocolate fan.

This is the main factory in Kilchberg.....

Makro don't have the 2kg boxes at the moment - had to pick up a single 700(?)g box this morning. Should last the week...

Before my illness and cure, I would scarf them down at about 4-5 per day but can now ration myself to one a day. Boxes, that is!!! :D

Too right... I have a rug in the kitchen that has house rules on it, one of them says 'share chocolate' both myself and my youngest just look at each other and say... Nah! :D

Best place for good prices on Chocolates, is Home Bargains.

Amazon have the bigger boxes at 2 for a tenner at the moment. So tempted!!! That's actually cheaper than Makro who charged me £5.99 for one a few days ago.

There certainly are some good deals at the moment, gotta go a bit careful though. Me and the missus are putting the pounds on :)

The £1 bag of Thorntons classic chocs I ate today had both Turkish Delight and Cappuccino chocs in it mmmmmm! :)
