Liquid - I do like your new version of liquid. I wouldn't have guessed golden syrup though. I thought it was engine oil.

Reshoot - Nice interpretation. The subject is just in the right place compsitionally

Up - Very nice shot which looks looks very sharp and really well exposed. I like it.

That's a really, really lovely shot, Allan. The detail and texture on the moon are just fab, and the night sky is really, really black. Nicely on theme, too. Great job!

Thank you

Very good shot Allan.

Really good detail and excellent black sky.

Like the way that you have lit it from the side without casting a shadow :D

it's a skill

Hey Allan :)

Dark - Simple shot but a great take on the theme, nice black background and very well caught smoke

Time - I like it, no confusing reflections coming off the front, nice depth of field and captured the worn look well - nice shot

Body 1 - Great minds think alike :D

But yours looks a lot more lush than mine :bat: :sulk:

Body 2 - Excellent, nut must say half in the hedge would have been superb

Liquid - I was too late to see it :)

<EDIT> Oooo very good indeed - super idea

Re-Shoot - Fear - Great focus, liking the dof of the pipes, draws my eye perfectly

Up - As said, good detail, great blacks, and well UP !!!!

Hi Allan

fabulous image of the moon ,lovely detail & very black blacks ...topo shot mister

Reshoot of fear.....now thats scary , I detest spiders , especially ones that lurk like this one is doing....well spotted , well thought out , great use of DOF...like it mister

Liquid.....good , original idea ( the Liquid writing image )...what was the BG...almost looks like a car bonnet ! I suspect writing with golden syrup was a challenge in itself but love the shot.....

A simple take on the theme Allan but an effective one nonetheless
Good detail on the moon, overall technically very good.
The bottom of the frame with the expanse of sky doesn't bother me, I can see why its there as it puts the moon on a third.

Hi Allan, I think that's a cracking shot for up, you've got some great detail and texture there. I know if I took a photo of the moon it would be a little white blurry blob!

Like the way that you have lit it from the side without casting a shadow :D

Up, much better than I've ever managed. Nice dark sky. The composition's just a bit off, though. Tad of the top and left.

Duo, nice idea and nice guitars. Just the lack of separation between the black guitar and the BG lets it down somewhat.

Cheers.

Agree about the square crop so had a play around with it cropped it tighter still and lightened it slightly I think its better

Hi Allan

Not sure on the square crop, seems to cut bits off in all directions, and a different background would certainly help, but very nice guitars, do you play??

Thanks for the comments, I play a little but not played for a good few months I have osteoarthritis which has been affecting my left wrist so I have had to take a break for a while

That's definitely an improvement to me,

I really like guitars but cant play at all, One thing I wish I could, must be a pain being able to play, have the guitars but not able to use them

I like the light better on the 2nd one, so is it classed as a brace of guitars? nice shot :)

Nice...very nice. Great colours, especially the red tail lights and the vivid blue sky.

I had a quick edit and dropped the exposure a tad, and cropped a small amount left and right, to push the lower lights closer to the left and right and liked it.

Great shot

Hi Alan

soon as I saw your image I said...yup..liking that a lot :) Keep looking at it trying to find something to crit.....failing miserably  Great timing:lol: which has left the sky fairly light, great unbroken light trails , no color cast, wonderfull starbursts & beautifully sharp throughout....likey likey very much....great shot mister :clap:

Great interpretation of the theme. I always like these shots to have headlight as well as tail light trails and to have colour in the sky with detail in the surroundings is an added bonus. You have all these so this adds up to the fact I like this one. The starburst effects on the lights also makes it a winner.

Excellent shot Allan

but b****r there goes my idea, I was eyeing up prospective flyovers on the way home :'( great minds etc :)

Lots of detail in the shot, nice sky and good starbursts too - Like It

Thanks, sorry for making you have to think again its infuriating when that happens ;)

Thank you will have another play with it see what i think

Excellent shot. Often I find these shots to have too many trails and they become indistinct but this one is very clear and precise. Lovely starbursts and colours as you have the bright red, white and blue but have maintained the warmth of the brickwork

Thank you

cracking shot Allan, everything looks spot on, only 2 things bugging me, the sign post is over exposed on the left and the light on the right hand side is a bit over.

I noticed that too, but hard to get right I found, thanks for the comment

these are hard to get right but this one is spot on, well done chap

Very good light trail, bang on theme. The wet pavement gives a nice reflection of the green traffic light.
