AlanDorset Week 52 Picture of the Year

Nice action shot Alan. Love the colours, looks like the driver could do with some more practice.

Nice complementary colours in the post box shot.
I'm really impressed with your snappers choice, great capture.

According to the tannoy, he was “a bit broadside” as he left the line and clouted the hay bales !

That's a great snappers choice Alan, great technique and picture :D

Week 26 Half

Half
by Alan Webb, on Flickr

The glass is half-full, ever the optimist !
Opportunity for some depth-of-field practice.

Week 27 A Post

A Post 4 by Alan Webb, on Flickr

In fact, several posts, creating a henge. At the Barbury International Horse Trials today. Pippa Funnel on Billy Walkon, this is the cross country which followed on from dressage and show-jumping if you wanted to know.

Good shot Alan. Is there a reason/purpose for the henge? Just an obstacle that they have to ride through? Or just left over from something else?

Nice shot, looks like the henge would get in the way. No doubt something I would hit if I rode a horse!

Nice shot, I like the way you have framed the horse and rider with the posts.

Week 28 Water

Water by Alan Webb, on Flickr

Eye Bridge again, river was busy with paddle-boarding, swimming, paddling or indeed cycling !

That looks like a really interesting course. Well captured expressions on both horse and rider.

Week 28 Water, I am defeated. I have re-processed in Lightroom, exported again, posted to Flikr with a new name having deleted the two previous images, and copied the link into Talk, still getting that annoying red cross. Putting the BBCode into Talk from a previous Flikr post puts the image into Talk no problem. Putting it into a different folder in Flikr in case there's a permissions setting makes no difference. So what the ......?

SOMETIMES, clicking on the image title in the flicker link takes me to the image there but not in this case. For the sake of this challenge, I'd resize the image to forum limits and use the Attach files button straight from your computer.

You did it!! I always do as @Nod says. Resize to the limits and then attach it.

Lots to see in this and it tells a good story. My eye follows the shoreline. Very nice.

Yep, I agree with Nod and Bebop. For me I resize to a 4X5/8X10 crop. I saves me a lot of frustration.

Good shot, makes me think of the Sooke Potholes on Vancouver Island. We used to take the kids there when they were small.

Very good picture, I bet the exposure was difficult with the water reflecting from the sun.

You've captured this well.
Different type of handles for sure.

It definitely radiates more warmth to the second picture.

I'm laughing Alan. I watched the 2 Ronnies episode and I was laughing so hard that I was crying,

Lol.. funny enough that phrase came into my head as soon as I read the theme for the week. One very, very memorable sketch!

I really liked the capture of this one, even though it's not so dusty !

Dusty 7
by Alan Webb, on Flickr

A 270 degree out of the right hander was being followed by this 180 to get back onto the road

Great shots and perfect for the theme.

I think no. 2 is my favourite. I feel like the cloud of dust is about to get me.

Good shots Alan. I'm another for No.2, although as you say the number plate in the last one may have swayed me towards that one.

Very well taken dusty shots, like Bebop my favourite is also the 2nd image and yes it does look like it's coming at the viewer.

Thanks all. Yes, I did get peppered with stones and gravel from this.
