Missed you Alby as you’re not showing on the spreadsheet. All 4 are excellent but I’m going against the grain and picking no 1 :clap:
 
Wow your shiny is a great take on the theme. No3 for me is by far the best. Great colours and pin sharp.

Shiny - a wonderful collection and hard to pic a fave...damn it I'll pick em all!!! Superb colouring too.
 
Thanks everybody, you all seem to like those bubble shots so that was nice. Here is my Magical shot. It is a magical sunrise taken from a nature reserve on the outskits of Portsmouth. It truly was a magical morning spend with a couple of other TP members. ;) I prefer the pped one really large but the original smaal shown on here. :shrug: :lol:

Both your magicals are absolutely great (light, composition, subject - but most of all the light) - if you didn't offer us a choice I would have given top marks to either. 'Getting out there' and taking photos is what this challenge is all about IMHO, and you have done just that. For me the light here this morning was absolutely magical, but I didn't quite manage to capture a moment - maybe I was up too late. (Still trying to produce something acceptable with a bit of PP.) Mike

Great work Alby, love the vibrant colour of the landscape. Your pp work has enhanced what was very good original.

Thanks all, the pped version just doesn't cut it small unfortunately. I have soft focused it and large it really does look fabulous all dreamy and ethereal (if that is the right word:)) I think. Carly it is on the outskirts of Portsmouth at a place called Farlington Marshes.

shiny- i'm going to go with no 2 i love the fact that you can see the smaller bubbles within the structure

Magical - the original one for me and its just personal taste, in that i like my landscapes to look like they did when it was shot
 
Shiny - all 4 for me lol. They are amazing. Not much help in choosing I know :bang: but I love them all. Think I may have to sell one of my kidneys for an MPe 65!!!!!!

Magical - a magical shot indeed, without the border works best for me.

Good job on both counts. :clap:

Right just playing catchup to get up to date now I've posted my Shiny late :( and still need to shoot my "magical".

Shiny - Great shots all, but agree with the majority on number 3 being the best of the set, it's the sharpest, best colours and most pleasing composition. I do like 4 as a very close second as it actually looks like a massive glass ball coming down a slide hurtling toward me :D

Magical - Liking this too, Lovely colours, good composition and I'm not convinced the original needed any realy pp as it's so good.
 
You got there before me on this one as there is nothing more Magical than a sunrise or sunset it just says Magical full stop.
No 1 for me it’s a lot better with the extra saturation with the dark trees and what looks like a bit of low mist.
 
Magical morning really is a cracker.

Nice oranges, silhouetted trees, mist.

Minor point, but just the single pole to the left of the trees.

Vice, I couldn't think what I wanted to do for this theme so approached a chap in a couple of factory units down from where I work and ask if he had a vice and so here it is. :D
Taken with the G3 and Samyang 7.5mm fisheye.

Vice. Like it. Nice and close, well composed, B&W, number 5 is a nice touch.

He could have tidied up, though...:D

For a 100% symmetry, I'd like to see the handle thing at the bottom under the screw thingy....if you know what I mean....:thinking:

Like Gramps, you've chosen a literal interpretation on the theme and this works too.
The fisheye lens adds that interesting perspective to what is a relatively simple composition. I agree with Andy on the handle of the vice would perhaps be better positioned so as its symetrical.
The B&W conversion suits the subject to a T. Good work Alby :thumbs:

great mono shot...like the unusual effect from the fisheye , the handle doesn't bother (my OCD must be on holiday ) but the rad (?)to the lower right is irritating me...having said that , if you're in a workshop there's gonna be stuff around so....like it :thumbs:

Bit late catching up this week so I’d better make a start
Now that is extreme for a fish eye, rather like it to be honest as said the rad takes your eye a bit but it also add to the overall effect as do the floor tiles. Think mono is the only way this would work. :clap:
 
Thanks folks, It was someone's workshop so I was a little limited and didn't feel I could start moving furniture around so a quick grab shot was the best I could come up with. It is an music electronics repair/manufacturing workshop with lots of great macro opportunities but he was a busy man.
 
Hi Alby,
Magical - sun is always a good subject for this kind of theme and a good take. I prefer the unedited version as the trees seem sharper and the colours are more subtle.

Vice - a proper bit of gear - well taken. The mono suits it very well highlighting the shiny bits and contrasting with the cast metal. Excellent use of that lens and really good focus. The extaneous stuff at top and bottom is a pity but for me still a super shot
